Paradise RV Park About

Introduction / Overview

For Oklahomans on the road, particularly those seeking a simple and perhaps budget-friendly overnight stop, Paradise RV Park in Marietta, OK, may appear as an option. However, it's crucial to approach any potential stay at Paradise RV Park with a clear understanding of what to expect, as guest experiences vary significantly. The park is located at 16145 Tabler Rd, Marietta, OK 73448, USA.

Public reviews for Paradise RV Park present a dichotomy, with some visitors describing it as a "muddy field with cows" and a "scary place to stay the night" due to a perceived lack of amenities and the presence of stray dogs. Conversely, other reviews suggest it's "not a bad place to stay for night" and mention that the "pack dogs there...are friendly." This stark contrast in experiences suggests that Paradise RV Park operates as a very basic, no-frills RV stop, and what one defines as "paradise" might be highly subjective. It seems to cater to those who prioritize simplicity and perhaps a very rustic, informal setting over extensive facilities or manicured grounds.

This article aims to provide a factual overview based on the limited and conflicting public information available, helping local Oklahomans make an informed decision. It's important to understand that if you're seeking a full-service, amenity-rich RV park, Paradise RV Park may not meet those expectations. Instead, it appears to be geared towards travelers who need a very temporary, no-frills spot to park for the night, possibly those who are self-contained and require minimal external services.

Location and Accessibility

Paradise RV Park is situated at 16145 Tabler Rd, Marietta, OK 73448, USA. Marietta, Oklahoma, is a small town located in Love County, strategically positioned near Interstate 35, a major north-south artery connecting Oklahoma City to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. This location is a primary factor in the park’s accessibility, as it’s easily reachable for travelers traversing I-35 who are looking for a quick stopover.

Being in a rural area, the park’s address suggests a quiet, off-the-beaten-path setting, which could be appealing to those seeking solitude away from highway noise. However, its rural nature also means that direct access to extensive amenities and services in Marietta might require a short drive. Marietta itself offers basic services such as gas stations, a few local eateries, and small grocery stores, which would be the closest options for any immediate needs.

The "Tabler Rd" address implies a non-commercial, perhaps unpaved, road leading to the park, consistent with descriptions of a "muddy field." This detail is crucial for RVers, as road conditions can impact accessibility, especially for larger rigs or during inclement weather. For those relying on GPS, the exact coordinates are vital to avoid confusion, given the conflicting accounts of its appearance. While the general area of Marietta is accessible, the specific approach to Paradise RV Park might be more rustic than expected. Its main draw for location seems to be its general proximity to I-35 for convenient overnight parking, rather than its immediate surroundings being a tourist destination.

Services Offered

Based on the provided customer reviews, the services offered at Paradise RV Park appear to be extremely limited, and perhaps even non-existent according to some accounts. It is imperative for prospective visitors to manage their expectations regarding amenities.

According to one review:

  • No Hook-ups: One customer explicitly stated, "We saw no hook-ups," indicating a potential absence of water, electric, or sewer connections at sites. This would mean that any RV staying here must be fully self-contained.
  • No Amenities: The same reviewer noted, "We saw no...any amenities," suggesting a lack of common RV park features such as restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, or recreational areas.
  • Basic Overnight Stop: Another reviewer describes it as "not bad place to stay for night," which implies its primary function might be a very basic, temporary parking spot rather than a campground with services.

Contrasting this, the very existence of an "RV Park" listing suggests some intention to provide a place for RVs. However, the reviews heavily lean towards a minimal-to-no service environment. It is possible that if any services exist, they are extremely rudimentary, unreliable, or not clearly marked. Visitors should assume that Paradise RV Park is a dry camping or boondocking type of location, where all necessary resources (water, power, waste management) must be self-supplied within their RV. Do not anticipate standard RV park services like paved roads, designated sites, or communal facilities.

Features / Highlights

Given the highly conflicting and largely negative reviews, identifying "features" or "highlights" of Paradise RV Park becomes challenging, as what one might consider a highlight, another might view as a significant drawback. However, based on the limited information, some potential (and highly subjective) "features" could include:

  • Rural, Secluded Setting: For those who genuinely seek extreme isolation and a completely no-frills experience, the park is described as a "muddy field with cows," suggesting a very undeveloped, natural, and potentially quiet (apart from animal sounds) environment. This could appeal to those who enjoy boondocking or dry camping away from any facilities.
  • "Friendly" Pack of Dogs (for some): One reviewer mentioned a "pack dogs there but they are friendly." For dog lovers who are comfortable with stray or free-roaming animals, this might be seen as an informal aspect of the rural setting. However, it is a significant concern for others.
  • Potential for Basic Overnight Parking: If all you need is a place to pull over and sleep in your self-contained RV for a single night, and you are not concerned with amenities or aesthetics, it might serve that extremely basic purpose.
  • Budget-Friendly (Presumed): Given the lack of reported amenities, it's highly probable that any stay would be significantly cheaper than a full-service RV park, or potentially even free, though this is not confirmed. This could be a "highlight" for the most budget-conscious travelers.
  • "Nothing There": For adventurers seeking the most minimalist and unadorned camping experience, the "nothing there" aspect might be a perverse highlight, essentially offering a blank slate.

It is critical to reiterate that these are speculative "highlights" derived from very limited and contradictory data. The overwhelming impression from one detailed review is that the "features" are largely absent, and the primary "highlight" for most would be to avoid it. Potential visitors should be prepared for a truly raw, undeveloped, and potentially challenging overnight stay.

Promotions or Special Offers

Based on the provided public data, there is absolutely no information available regarding any promotions or special offers at Paradise RV Park. Given the nature of the reviews, which describe the location as a "muddy field with cows" and question the existence of hookups or amenities, it is highly improbable that formal promotions, discounts, or loyalty programs are in place.

RV parks that offer special deals typically have established operations, defined services, and a system for reservations and pricing. The descriptions of Paradise RV Park do not align with a business that would typically engage in such promotional activities.

If you are considering staying at Paradise RV Park, any "special offer" might simply be the extremely low (or possibly no) cost of a stay, given the apparent lack of services. However, this is purely speculative. It is advisable to not expect any formal promotions and to clarify any potential charges directly with the park via phone before arriving, though based on the reviews, even direct communication might be challenging or yield little information about structured offers.

Contact Information

To attempt to gather more current information or confirm the nature of the facilities at Paradise RV Park, you can use the following contact details:

Address: 16145 Tabler Rd, Marietta, OK 73448, USA

Phone: (580) 812-0146

Mobile Phone: +1 580-812-0146

Given the conflicting and concerning nature of the reviews, it is highly recommended that anyone considering a stay at Paradise RV Park call these numbers directly before traveling. This would be the only way to potentially ascertain the current conditions, available (or absent) amenities, and whether the park is truly operational as an RV park in the traditional sense. Inquire about the presence of hookups, site conditions, and any on-site management. Be prepared for the possibility that the information obtained may still be ambiguous or align with the more negative customer experiences.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals

For Oklahomans, Paradise RV Park in Marietta presents a very specific, and potentially very limited, use case. Based on the starkly contrasting public reviews, it is emphatically NOT suitable for the vast majority of RVers seeking a typical campground experience with amenities, security, or even clearly defined sites. If you are a local Oklahoman accustomed to comfortable, well-maintained RV parks, this place will likely fall far short of your expectations and could even be a source of significant discomfort or concern, as one reviewer found it a "scary place to stay the night."

However, there is a very narrow niche of local RVers for whom this location might be suitable:

  • The Extreme Boondocker/Dry Camper: If you are an experienced self-contained RVer who absolutely needs a very basic, unestablished spot to pull over for a few hours of sleep, without any need for hookups, facilities, or even clear signage, and you are comfortable with an undefined, rural setting potentially shared with animals, then it could technically serve as a place to park.
  • The Ultra-Budget Traveler: For someone on the absolute tightest budget who is willing to compromise on every aspect of comfort and service for potentially no cost (though cost isn't confirmed), this might be a consideration.
  • The Adventurous or Emergency Overnight: For someone who genuinely needs an immediate, unplanned, extremely rustic overnight stop directly off I-35 in the Marietta area, and who is fully prepared for a "muddy field with cows" and no amenities, it might be an option of last resort.

In summary, for most local Oklahomans, Paradise RV Park is likely not a suitable destination. It appears to lack the standard features and assurances expected of an RV park. It’s critical to consider the overwhelmingly negative feedback and approach this location with extreme caution and low expectations, ensuring your RV is fully self-sufficient if you choose to consider it for a fleeting, rustic overnight stop. For any actual camping trip or comfortable stay, locals should explore other, more established and positively reviewed RV parks in the wider Oklahoma region.

There is nothing there except a couple of older campers and a large pack of dogs. We saw no hook-ups or any amenities. There is nothing to rate, let alone give any stars for. We were not sure what the people saw that gave it five stars, but they were not at the same place we saw! it was a muddy field with cows. That’s it. It was a scary place to stay the night.

Bogus raters giving 5-stars; this place is a sham. Look at the satellite view. The one pic showing concrete pads and hookups is NOT from this location.
