The park's proximity to Wylie means campers have quick access to essential supplies, grocery stores (including a Walmart Supercenter just outside the gate, as noted by a reviewer), dining options, and other services. For those traveling from the wider Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, East Fork Park is an easy drive, providing a convenient escape from city life. - Federal Pass Discounts: Visitors with eligible federal passes, such as the America the Beautiful Access Pass (for those with permanent disabilities) or Senior Pass, may receive discounts on camping fees, often up to 50% off. It's always advisable to inquire about these possibilities.
- Seasonal Availability: While open year-round, visiting during the off-peak seasons (fall, winter, early spring) can sometimes offer more availability and a more peaceful experience without specific "promotions."
It is always recommended to check the official Recreation.gov website or call East Fork Park directly for the most current pricing, reservation policies, and any potential special programs.

Customer Reviews
It is beautiful out here and for the most part quiet except for some rude neighbors who kept flashing flashlights at me when I was laying out for the night. Some even sent their kids to ask me rudely what I was doing there. I just said, turning in for the night, and went back to minding my own business. I started to say I was dodging the Ice Raids in town!! Lol!! The post attendants are awesome with great customer service and attentative and friendly while I drove in and out during my 2 week stay. I'll definitely be back again and make sure I bring my green card in case more curious neighboring campers want to inquire....
We love this park, we stay here anytime we come to Texas. The people that run the campground at the best. Friendliest I've seen and I travel all over this beautiful nation.
It's not a bad place to fish if you don't mind people splashing in the water next to your fishing pole and bass fisherman fishing on top of your fishing gear. best to have a boat at this lake. Shore fishermen get no respect.
Awesome park very quiet during the week. Absolutely beautiful sunrises. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Even though they shut the water off for 4 hours during our stay for maintenance the staff was quick to let us know to give us enough time to fill our fresh water tank to take showers.
Wish I could give this park a five-star review because the people are so nice, but they have no sewer. The lake is beautiful, the fishing isn't great, but the grounds are kept up somewhat. There is lots of flooding when it rains, which is another negative. Restrooms are okay, not terrible, but a lot to be desired. Good for the price.
