Parkside Homes About
Are you a South Carolina resident seeking a practical, clean, and conveniently located place to call home in the bustling North Charleston area? For many individuals and families across our beautiful state, mobile home communities offer an excellent pathway to comfortable and affordable living. Among the options available, Parkside Homes Mobile Home Park stands as a notable choice, providing residents with a clean environment and strategic access to the vibrant Charleston metropolitan area.
Parkside Homes is recognized by its residents as a "nice clean place," indicating a commitment to maintaining a tidy and orderly living environment. In any community, cleanliness is a foundational aspect that contributes significantly to residents' comfort and peace of mind. While one review points out a need for "more light poles" due to it being "too dark" in some areas, this feedback highlights a specific aspect that management could potentially address to further enhance the resident experience, rather than reflecting on the overall cleanliness or safety of the community itself.
The core appeal of a mobile home park like Parkside Homes lies in its ability to offer an accessible entry point into homeownership or long-term rental stability. For those navigating the housing market in a popular region like Charleston, manufactured home communities often provide a more budget-friendly alternative without sacrificing a sense of community or essential amenities. Parkside Homes aims to provide a solid foundation for residents looking for a straightforward and manageable living situation in a desirable South Carolina location.
Parkside Homes Mobile Home Park boasts a highly strategic and convenient location at 1235 Remount Rd, North Charleston, SC 29406, USA. This address places residents squarely within the thriving heart of North Charleston, one of South Carolina's largest and most economically dynamic cities. The benefit for local South Carolinians is immediate and significant: unparalleled access to a vast array of employment opportunities, educational institutions, retail centers, dining options, and recreational activities that define the Charleston metropolitan area.
Remount Road itself is a well-trafficked artery, providing excellent connectivity to major highways and thoroughfares. Residents of Parkside Homes can quickly and easily access Interstate 26 and Interstate 526, which are critical for commuting throughout the tri-county area (Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties). This means that whether you work at the Charleston Naval Complex, Charleston International Airport, a major medical facility, or one of the many industries and businesses in the region, your commute from Parkside Homes is designed to be efficient and manageable.
Beyond commuting, the location offers proximity to essential services and attractions. Nearby shopping centers, grocery stores, healthcare providers, and schools are all within easy reach, simplifying daily errands and family needs. For recreation, residents are close to numerous public parks, community centers, and just a short drive from the historic charm of downtown Charleston, the beautiful beaches of the Lowcountry, and various cultural sites. This blend of urban convenience with a residential setting makes Parkside Homes an exceptionally accessible and desirable place to live for those looking for a home base in the greater Charleston area.
- Residential Lots for Manufactured Homes: Parkside Homes primarily offers leased lots where residents can place their manufactured homes. This provides a stable and often more affordable pathway to homeownership compared to traditional stick-built housing.
- Property Management: As a managed community, Parkside Homes would typically have professional oversight responsible for daily operations, enforcement of community rules, and addressing resident concerns to maintain a harmonious living environment.
- Common Area Maintenance: The management is generally responsible for the upkeep of shared spaces within the park, such as roads, lighting (though one review suggests more may be needed), and any communal grounds, contributing to a "clean" overall appearance.
- Utility Hookups: Individual lots are typically equipped with the necessary hookups for essential utilities, including water, sewer, and electricity, making it convenient for residents to connect their homes to these services.
- Waste Management: Residents can expect established systems for waste disposal, often including designated areas for trash collection or curbside pickup, as part of the community's operations.
- Quiet Residential Environment (Implied): While not explicitly stated as a service, most mobile home parks aim to provide a peaceful living atmosphere, which contributes to the overall resident experience.
- Clean Community: A direct highlight from customer reviews, indicating that the park maintains a "nice clean place," which is a fundamental aspect of comfortable living.
- Affordable Housing Option: Mobile home parks typically present a more budget-friendly entry point into homeownership compared to traditional housing, making it accessible for a broader range of South Carolinians.
- Convenient Location in North Charleston: Excellent proximity to major interstates (I-26, I-526) ensures easy commutes to employment centers, shopping, dining, and other amenities throughout the Charleston area.
- Access to Charleston Metropolitan Area: Residents benefit from being within a short drive of downtown Charleston's historic charm, cultural attractions, popular beaches, and a thriving job market.
- Residential Setting: Provides a dedicated residential environment, offering a sense of stability and community often sought by those looking for long-term housing solutions.
- Family-Friendly Potential: While not explicitly stated, mobile home parks often cater to families, and a clean, established community suggests an environment suitable for family living.
- Established Infrastructure: As an existing mobile home park, it possesses established roads, utility connections, and lot layouts, providing a ready-to-move-in solution for manufactured homes.
Publicly available information does not detail specific, time-limited "promotions" or special offers for Parkside Homes Mobile Home Park. Unlike retail businesses or apartment complexes that frequently advertise discounts, mobile home parks typically focus on providing long-term value through their affordable lot leases and the overall cost-effectiveness of manufactured home living. Therefore, the primary "promotion" is the inherent value proposition of the community itself.
However, prospective residents may find that the park offers value through various aspects that are best discussed directly with management:
- Competitive Lot Rent: The consistent affordability of monthly lot rent is often the main draw. It's advisable to inquire about current rates and any terms that might offer cost savings over time.
- Home Sales Programs: If Parkside Homes or an affiliated dealer sells manufactured homes, they might have programs or partnerships that offer favorable financing terms, incentives for new home purchases (e.g., appliance packages, closing cost assistance), or even rental-to-own options for specific homes within the community.
- Inclusion of Basic Services: While common, the bundling of certain services (like trash removal) within the monthly lot rent can be considered a value-add, simplifying budgeting for residents.
To get the most accurate and up-to-date information on availability, lease terms, and any potential incentives that might apply to your specific situation, it is highly recommended to contact Parkside Homes directly. A conversation with the park management will provide clarity on all aspects of becoming a resident and any current opportunities that could benefit you.
If Parkside Homes Mobile Home Park aligns with your housing needs and preferences in North Charleston, reaching out to their management team is the crucial next step. They can provide comprehensive details on available lots, home placement guidelines, and address any questions you may have about the community.

needs more light poles too dark
It was nice clean place
It's my home
The entrance is very very small, it is a little dangerous to enter from the road and with the traffic behind you honking, once inside the parking lot the street is very bad, it has quite a few holes, in general I did not like it
