This article aims to provide a clear, engaging, and factual overview of this RV park, helping you understand what to expect and whether it's the right fit for your RV lifestyle. We'll delve into its location, services, features, and important considerations based on available public information, including recent customer feedback.

Pearl Lake RV Campground by Rjourney is conveniently located at **W4585 S Pearl Lake Rd, Redgranite, WI 54970, USA**. Situated in the charming town of Redgranite, within Waushara County, this RV park offers a central Wisconsin location that makes it accessible from various parts of the state. Redgranite itself is known for its natural attractions, including the nearby Pearl Lake, which is often highlighted for its clear waters and recreational opportunities. The campground's address indicates it's easily reachable by RV, likely with well-maintained roads leading to the entrance. Its proximity to Redgranite also means campers have convenient access to local amenities, such as grocery stores, fuel stations, and dining options, ensuring that essential supplies are never far away during your stay. The park is open seasonally, typically from April 15th to October 15th, making it a prime destination for spring, summer, and fall excursions.

  • **Full Hookup RV Sites:** The campground offers a variety of RV sites, including those with 30-amp and 50-amp electrical hookups, as well as water and sewer connections, providing home-like conveniences for RVers. There are also dirt sites available.

  • **Mobile Sewer Service:** This service allows for convenient waste disposal directly at your site.
  • **LP Gas:** Propane is available on-site, with options for bottle exchange or bottles only.
  • **Restrooms and Showers:** Essential facilities for comfort and hygiene are available, though one customer review mentioned issues with "bathrooms don't even have working faucets."
  • **Wi-Fi:** Wi-Fi is available at the park, including at overnight sites, though it may come with an additional charge for some access.
  • **On-site RV Service:** The campground offers mobile RV service, which can be a significant convenience for any unexpected vehicle issues.

While these services aim to provide a comfortable stay, it's important for prospective campers to consider recent feedback. Customers have reported issues with incorrect billing, undisclosed fees, and problems with electricity at sites, specifically that some sites may not provide enough power for multiple AC units. It is advisable to inquire about these specifics before booking, particularly for seasonal or extended stays, to ensure clarity on all charges and amenities.

Pearl Lake RV Campground by Rjourney boasts several features and highlights that aim to enhance the camping experience, though recent customer reviews suggest some important considerations:

  • **Lake Access:** The campground is situated on the shores of Pearl Lake, known for its clear waters, spanning over 100 acres. There is free public access to the Pearl Lake Boat Landing, making it ideal for boating and other water activities.
  • **Swimming Opportunities:** The lake provides opportunities for swimming, though the condition and appeal of the swimming area were not specifically detailed in recent reviews.
  • **Family-Friendly Environment:** Described as a family-friendly camping site, the campground aims to offer amenities and activities suitable for all ages.
  • **Variety of Site Options:** Pearl Lake RV Campground offers a mix of RV sites (pull-thru and back-in), tent sites, and seasonal sites, accommodating diverse camping preferences. Sites are spacious, designed to accommodate RVs of various sizes, with many offering shade and some with lake views.
  • **Recreational Facilities:** According to general Rjourney information and Good Sam listings, facilities often include mini-golf and swimming. Other sources mention activities like basketball, and the presence of a "man-made swimming pond, filtered and aerated."
  • **On-site Amenities:** The campground typically offers a club house and a bar that serves food, adding convenience for campers who prefer not to cook every meal.
  • **Pet-Friendly:** The park welcomes pets, which is a significant plus for many RVers traveling with their furry companions.
  • **Organized Activities:** Reviews mention activities for kids and adults, and Halloween celebrations with trick-or-treating and a golf cart parade, suggesting engaging events are planned, especially for seasonal campers.
  • **Starlink Accessibility:** One review noted that Starlink was accessible if the dish could be placed around the pool with access to the sky, which could be a highlight for those needing reliable internet.

However, it is crucial to address the concerns raised in recent customer reviews. Multiple campers have reported that since the change in ownership to Rjourney, the campground has "gone way down hill." Key concerns include:

  • **Lack of Upkeep and Improvements:** Despite increased pricing, customers reported "no improvements of the campground," and that it appears "run down."
  • **Bathroom Condition:** Specific feedback indicates issues with "bathrooms don’t even have working faucets" in some areas.
  • **Billing and Fee Issues:** Frequent problems with incorrect billing, undisclosed new fees, and a lack of communication from the company were significant complaints. This included a winter fee being charged when previously promised only for open season, and questionable electricity charges.
  • **Corporate Communication:** Dissatisfaction was expressed regarding the communication between corporate management and on-site staff, which impacted campers.
These points suggest a disparity between advertised potential and current guest experience, particularly concerning pricing, maintenance, and billing transparency. It is advisable for prospective campers to thoroughly investigate these aspects.

If you are considering Pearl Lake RV Campground for a permanent or extended stay, it is especially important to clarify all potential fees and current conditions. This used to be an affordable, fun family camp ground but since new ownership took over (R Journey) it has gone way down hill. Every month there are issues with billing being incorrect. There have been several new “fees” added on without any communication from the company. They are now threatening putting everyone on auto pay due to late payments but the bill is never correct to pay it. Last summer I stopped in the office several times to pay and kept getting told my bill was incorrect and they were “working on it”. During the winter months they started charging a $22/month fee after we were told the fee would only be charged during the open season. They communicated that they would be reading electric once a month. In the month of April they read my electric 2 days in a row. They charged me $5 each time and said that I used almost $9 of electricity in 1 day when we weren’t even there or running anything. Several others used less than $2 of electricity and got charged $27 in fees! Weekend site rentals used to be affordable as well but now they cost so much that families that have been camping here for 20 years are no longer coming. The price went way up with no improvements of the campground. The bathrooms don’t even have working faucets.

Since corporate took over this campground, it’s gone downhill. Undisclosed fees that show up with no explanation on your bills. Errors on bills. Corporate doesn’t communicate well with the people running the campground, which is frustrating for them and everyone involved. I used to love this campground, it was affordable! Not anymore. If you’re looking for a permanent campground, look elsewhere.

Large campground with sites stacked fairly close to one another. Clean restrooms and shower. Laundry area. We had 50/30 amp service to choose from. 110v didn't work but was fixed just before we left. Our site 90 was very unlevel. Front of RV was about 10" off the ground for it to be leveled. This had us scrambling to come up with a makeshift step to enter/exit. Staff had been very polite. No Internet access even though Rjourney stated they have WiFi. Bar eatery open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening. Store has some items eggs, hotdogs and the like, as well as beer and other beverages. Despite the name Pearl lake campground it is not on the lake.

My wife and I love this campground! Lots of great people here, permanent and weekender alike. The staff is great and always helpful. The food at the bar is also very good.
