Introduction / Overview
For Pennsylvania residents craving a retreat into the Pocono Mountains—without fully sacrificing the comforts of home—Pocono Camp & Glamp presents a uniquely appealing solution. Situated on over 500 expansive acres of beautiful mountain land near the historic town of Jim Thorpe, this destination masterfully blends traditional camping with modern 'glamping' amenities. Originally a beloved summer camp, the property has been thoughtfully revived by Pennsylvania native owners as a family-owned and operated establishment. Their vision was to preserve the natural beauty of the land while introducing amenities that make a mountain getaway accessible and enjoyable year-round.
Pocono Camp & Glamp offers various lodging options, from classic tent sites to full-hookup RV spots, but its signature offering is the collection of newly designed, Amish-built log cabins. These cabins bridge the gap between roughing it and resort stay, providing cozy, clean, and heated accommodations that are ideal for individuals, families, and large groups alike. The property is designed to foster both seclusion and community; cabins are often clustered in secluded sections, making it perfect for group reunions or multiple families traveling together, while common areas and shared sports courts encourage social interaction. This intentional design, coupled with friendly and helpful staff, ensures a thoughtful, convenient, and relaxing experience for any local seeking an escape to the Poconos.
Location and Accessibility
Pocono Camp & Glamp is perfectly positioned for a quintessential Poconos adventure. The physical address is 79 Act Ln, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229, USA. This location is strategically placed for easy access to the region’s best-known destinations and outdoor activities. The site is a short, scenic drive—just a few miles—from the charming, historic downtown of Jim Thorpe, often referred to as the 'Switzerland of America' for its Victorian architecture and mountain setting. This proximity means guests are never far from local shops, unique dining experiences, and cultural attractions like the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway.
The camp is conveniently located only about three miles from Route 476 (the Pennsylvania Turnpike Northeast Extension), making the journey effortless for locals traveling from the Philadelphia, Allentown/Bethlehem, or Scranton/Wilkes-Barre areas. Importantly for nature lovers, the property is minutes away from major outdoor hubs like Lehigh Gorge State Park, famous for its hiking and biking trails, and Hickory Run State Park. With over 500 acres on-site featuring wooded hiking trails, guests can begin their exploration right outside their cabin door, offering a true sense of being "off the grid" while maintaining access to all necessary creature comforts.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 Experience — Already Rebooking for Next Year! Our family loved our stay at Pocono Camping Glamp! It was such a charming and peaceful spot….way more thought out than we expected. The cabins were super clean and cozy, and it was such a bonus to have electricity, heat for winter, and the option to rent AC units for extra comfort. We stayed in Section F, which was perfect because we were right near the pickleball and volleyball courts….and let me tell you, our family spent hours out there playing. Huge hit! Each section of cabins feels secluded but still close enough to gather with other families or larger groups, which we loved. It’s perfect for reunions or group trips. The bathhouses were clean and never felt far, and exploring the other cabin areas made us even more excited to come back…we’re already planning to book again for the next 4th of July! Some extra touches we appreciated: • Mini fridge with complementary water • Microwave + Keurig with complimentary K-cups • USB charging stations built into the nightstands • Friendly, helpful staff everywhere we turned We’re even considering coming back in the winter since the cabins are heated…it would be perfect for a tubing or skiing weekend. Honestly, everything about our stay was thoughtful, convenient, and relaxing. Can’t wait to return! 💚
Jul 08, 2025 · Jacqueline EggertonWe loved it! Just stayed for Mother’s Day weekend. Cabin is heated and was warm when we arrived which felt good since it was 55 and raining. Next day was beautiful and we explored both the campground and some local sites. Just the right amount of off the grid and creature comforts. The staff was very friendly and the grounds, bath house and sites were all well maintained. Definitely a spot we will visit again!
May 12, 2025 · H StantonBeautiful camp ground! Very well maintained. Everyone was so nice and helpful! I loved how spacious the cabin was! The hiking trail was very nice! Looking forward to coming back next year!
Sep 09, 2025 · donna millerThe staff were friendly and the horses were great. The horse I rode, Jake, was wonderful and sure loved ferns. The trail wasn't quite what I was hoping for but it was still a great time. I recommend a visit. The bathhouse was beautiful and clean, it actually made me want to come came here. I got the feeling this campground was relatively new, but I'd certainly visit once they add electric tent sites!
