Pymatuning State Park Campground, being part of the Ohio State Park system, generally operates under state-level pricing and reservation policies rather than offering frequent, publicly advertised "promotions" in the same way a private campground might. However, there are structured pricing tiers and potential discounts that can benefit Ohio locals.
To find the most accurate and up-to-date information on rates, availability, and any specific offers, it is always best to check the official Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) website for Pymatuning State Park or use their reservation system.
Potential benefits and considerations include:
- Varying Site Rates: Different site types (non-electric, electric, full hookup) will have different nightly rates. Premium sites (e.g., waterfront) may also have higher costs.
- Seasonal Pricing: Rates can vary based on the season, with peak summer months generally being more expensive.
- Discounts: Ohio State Parks may offer discounts for seniors (62 years and over) or individuals with disabilities. It is advisable to inquire about these directly when booking.
- Weekly and Extended Stay Rates: While a 14-day maximum stay is typical during the summer season and 21 days during the off-season, inquiring about potential weekly rates can sometimes offer savings compared to daily bookings.
- Reservation System: All campsites and cabins require reservations, which can be made online or by phone up to six months in advance. Booking well in advance, especially for popular weekends and holidays, is crucial to secure a spot.
- Special Events/Programs: While not a discount, the park often hosts interpretive programs and events, which are included with your stay and add value to the camping experience.
Always confirm all pricing, rules, and availability directly with the park or through the official Ohio State Parks reservation portal to ensure you have the most current information.

Customer Reviews
Pymie is a beautiful lake. Do not go there to catch Walleye, as it will disappoint you. Go to fish as they have a variety of species....cabins are good and they keep them in "good" shape. Appear to be some slow improvements coming.
Great camp experience! The amenities are nice and clean and there are fun things to do around the campground.
Campsite 180 needs totally redone. Pad is excessively sloped making it dangerous to enter and exit camper. Site is washed out with large tree roots sticking out. A yard of topsoil needs brought in and grass planted.
We had a beautiful, waterfront site. Our original reservation was for 2 nights - but we were able to add on a third since it was open. The ladies in the camp store were nice. The bathrooms were super clean. We 100% loved our location. #346. Perfect for dogs too. Only and I mean only complaint. There was no hand soap in the mens or women's restroom basically the entire trip. Not sure why? TIP: If you are buying firewood, the best price we found was across the street from the KOA (not even a mile away) it is on the honor system in their front yard.
Well kept, beautiful, peaceful campgrounds. Lovely and attentive staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We appreciated the nature center (with eagle nest) and the gift shop has some great items that we've not seen before. Really nice shower houses and a clean laundry facility. Being right next the lake gave a fantastic view for even those who weren't camping directly on the lake. We could easily see it and walk to it from our site.
