We have been lucky enough to attain a permanent campsite here (there was only 4 left) 2 years ago, this will be our third season. Having been here only a short time, I can attest to the pride and determination Joe and Betty,(the owners), have in maintaining and upgrading the campground to a first class family facility. The numerous activities and continual upgrades are geared not only towards the adults, but also for the children and combination of both. Joe and Betty are kind and caring owners as well as the manager (Val) and campground staff. Friendship and family values are at the top of Shangri-LAs priorities. I have enjoyed my stay here for the last 2 years and hope to be able to return in the future.

We've had a seasonal site here for 3 summers now. The owners are great people with rules that it adhered to will treat you with the utmost respect. Break the rules and you will be told about it. The owners are new and I've never dealt with the old owners but I hear stories both good and bad. The new owners Betty and Joe along with the park manager Val do their best to accommodate everyone. People complain that nothing as far as upgrades are being done to the campground but they aren't there during the week as my wife and myself stay full time from May 1st until the end of October and see upgrades pretty frequently some will never be seen as they are things like water lines and sewage lines under ground and repairs to the septic ponds. They have began to add more seasonal sites which will increase revenue so more can be done at a later time. The bottom line with ShangriLa if that it isn't the most fancy place to camp but the people that do camp here are all super friendly and that makes it a great place.
