We called for an overnight stay the day we were arriving the girl who answered was very pleasant, we have been to many campgrounds over the US and this is one of the friendliest, nicest places we have been. The showers were perfect! The pool the site being riverside and surrounded by trees was amazing. If we come back this way we will surely stay again. Thank you to owner Ronnie for chit chatting with us!
Jun 23, 2025 · Luci DaltonVery nice campground. The bathrooms and showers were really well maintained and clean. Easy walking distance from our camp site to the bathrooms, gameroom and pool area. Everyone was super nice and helpful. I felt at ease letting my son play without being worried he would get snatched. Usually I keep an eagle eye on him but I felt like everyone there watched out for each other's kids. It was very kid friendly. The camp site we had was right next to the river so we could walk down and fish easily whenever we wanted and hear the nice water rustling at night while we went to sleep. We will definitely be making a return trip soon.
Jun 03, 2025 · Amy Baker (Llatavae)I spent two lovely nights there on a riverside tent site. I was super impressed with how well run and exceptionally clean the bathouse was - no matter what time of day I visited. While I was there to read and relax, they offer plenty of amenities like a pool and game room. An easy 15 minute drive to Abingdon. I’ll definitely return and highly recommend!
Aug 07, 2025 · Kit ParksDisappointed and Unwelcome Experience We were really looking forward to our stay because we had driven for so many hours already, but unfortunately, we felt unwelcome from the moment we arrived. As we were in the process of hooking up our utilities—literally just got there—the campground police showed up in a golf cart and said there had already been two full-time campers complaining that we were going too fast through the park. That was surprising, considering we had barely driven in and were focused on setting up. To make matters worse, shortly after that, a man in a golf cart came by and appeared to take a picture of our license plate. The whole experience left us feeling watched and extremely uncomfortable. We’ve camped at many places before, and this was the first time we felt so unwelcome right from the start. Definitely not the relaxing, friendly environment we were hoping for.
