Today, we're focusing on a key player in the Alabama RV scene that offers a dual benefit: Robertson RV. Located in Five Points, this establishment is more than just a place to park your camper; it also provides crucial mobile RV repair services, a convenience that any RVer knows can be invaluable when unexpected issues arise. From offering full hookup campsites for various durations to providing assistance with on-the-road repairs, Robertson RV aims to cater to the practical needs of the RV community in Alabama. This article will delve into the specifics of what Robertson RV offers, helping locals understand if it's the right choice for their next camping trip or RV service need.
Robertson RV is conveniently located at 1195 Co Rd 438, Five Points, AL 36855, USA. This address places it in Chambers County, a region in east-central Alabama that borders the state of Georgia. Five Points itself is a small, rural community, offering a peaceful and laid-back atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of larger cities. However, its location provides relatively easy access to key areas. Importantly, the park is situated near West Point Lake, a popular destination for outdoor recreation that spans the Alabama-Georgia border. This proximity makes Robertson RV an attractive option for campers looking to enjoy boating, fishing, and other water activities on the lake.
For travelers, Co Rd 438 connects to larger state routes, allowing for reasonably straightforward access from major highways. While it offers a quiet setting, essential services and supplies can typically be found in nearby towns. For RVers traveling through or seeking a long-term base in this part of Alabama, the location provides a blend of natural serenity and practical accessibility. This strategic placement ensures that whether you're arriving for a short weekend getaway or planning an extended stay, reaching Robertson RV is a manageable journey, allowing you to quickly settle in and begin enjoying your time in the beautiful West Point Lake area.
Robertson RV offers a range of services tailored to meet the needs of RV owners, encompassing both camping accommodations and crucial repair capabilities. Their comprehensive approach aims to support the RV lifestyle, whether you're looking for a temporary spot to stay or need assistance with your rig.
- Full Hookup Campsites: The campground provides sites equipped with 10-50 AMP electricity, water, and sewer connections, offering the convenience of full hookups for a comfortable stay.
- Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly Rates: Robertson RV caters to various stay durations, from short overnight stops to seasonal or even permanent residency, providing flexible options for campers.
- Mobile RV Repair Service: A standout service is their mobile RV repair. As evidenced by a positive customer review, the owner is known to travel to locations, like nearby campgrounds, to provide emergency or on-site repairs, such as fixing an air conditioner on short notice. This service can be incredibly valuable for RVers experiencing unexpected mechanical issues while on the road or at a different campsite.
- Camper/Boat Storage: In addition to camping, Robertson RV also offers storage solutions for campers and boats, providing a secure place for your recreational vehicles when not in use.
While the mobile repair service receives notable positive feedback for its responsiveness in emergency situations, some reviews also indicate potential inconsistencies in the speed and quality of more extensive repair work, suggesting that for major repairs, direct communication and clear expectations are vital. However, the availability of mobile repair support remains a significant advantage for those unexpected roadside or campsite issues.
Robertson RV's primary focus appears to be on providing practical solutions for RV owners, combining functional camping with repair services. Based on the available information, here are some key features and highlights:
- Southern Living Campground Atmosphere: The website describes itself as a "Southern living campground," suggesting a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere characteristic of the region.
- Flexible Stay Options: The availability of daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly rates is a significant highlight, offering great flexibility for different types of RVers, from transient travelers to those seeking long-term placement.
- On-Site Repair Accessibility: The mobile RV repair service is a crucial highlight, providing peace of mind for campers who might face unexpected breakdowns. The willingness of the owner to come out on short notice, as described in a customer review, speaks to their dedication to helping RVers in need.
- Convenient Location for West Point Lake Enthusiasts: Being located near West Point Lake makes it an ideal base for individuals and families who enjoy water-based activities such as fishing, boating, and kayaking.
- Full Hookup Convenience: For RVers, having 10-50 AMP full hookups at each site simplifies the camping experience, providing all necessary utilities directly at the campsite.
- Camper/Boat Storage: The added feature of secure storage for campers and boats provides a valuable service for local RV and boat owners who need a safe place to keep their vehicles.
It is important to note the mixed reviews regarding repair services. While the mobile repair service has garnered positive feedback for quick, on-site fixes, some customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the timeliness and completion of larger, more complex repairs. This suggests that while Robertson RV can be a lifeline for immediate issues, for extensive repairs, it's advisable to discuss timelines and expectations thoroughly.
Public information regarding specific, ongoing promotions or special offers at Robertson RV is not readily available in the provided data. However, the mention of "Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly rates available" on their website implies that guests can choose the duration of their stay to best suit their needs, and it is common practice for campgrounds to offer discounted rates for longer commitments. For instance, a monthly rate is typically more economical per night than a daily rate. Similarly, a yearly rate would offer the best value for long-term residents.
Prospective campers and those seeking RV services are strongly encouraged to contact Robertson RV directly to inquire about their current pricing structure, any seasonal promotions, or special discounts for extended stays. It is also advisable to discuss specific repair needs and obtain detailed quotes and estimated timelines for service work. Given the varied customer feedback on repair service speed, clarifying expectations for repairs upfront would be a wise step. Direct communication will ensure you receive the most accurate and up-to-date information, allowing you to plan your visit or service appointment effectively.

Customer Reviews
I was not impressed by the quality or speed of service. We left our camper there for 3 months. I continuously had to call and ask about progress. I left them alone for 9 weeks thinking they were getting to it and trying to be patient. At 9 weeks they acted like they would get to it soon and that they had the part to fix our issue on hand and that it should be done soon. By 12 weeks we just had to go get our camper because it still had not been repaired. The owner was incredibly ugly to us and refused to fix it. If you’re looking to get a camper repaired go a little farther up the road to Southland RV.
We are camping at West Point lake, on day of arrival we figured we had no air. I called multiple mobile RV repair and no one had availability to come out. I asked the camp host if he knew anyone and he gave us this number! The owner came out about 4 hrs later and had our air conditioner turned on! We are so thankful that he came out on short notice and got it working for us for our trip! We will definitely remember him Incase we need him in the future!
We've used Robertson RV and have always been pleased with the work and prices. Two year ago we took our camper in for winterizing and battery replacement. Less than a week after we picked it up, Scott called me and told me they used the wrong price on the batteries and offered the difference back right away ... I told him to just take it off my next bill. The next year, $40 taken off the bottom of the invoice. Great service by honest people!
I pulled in Amity Campground on West Point lake and begin to set up. As I opened one of my two big slides, one side stopped. Half opened. I tried you tube and even the book. I searched the internet for a mobile repair service and this one was close and had great reviews. I called them the next morning after Memorial Day holiday and they sent two guys within 2 hours. Five minutes after walking in they had diagnosed the problem and had the part in the truck. The problem was fixed in an hour. I would recommend these folks to anyone needing mobile repair or on site work.
Have been extremely pleased with every interaction and repair job that Scott Robertson, his family, and employees have handled for us in the past 6 years. They are top-notch, congenial, and complete repairs in a very timely manner. Scott even came to R.Shaefer Heard Park campground to fix something for us. I give them 5 stars in my Review only because that's the limit. They deserve more! ~ Susan Poole
