I camped here on May 3rd-4th. Since I arrived later in the evening of May 3rd, I didn't meet the owner till next day. He's a phenomenal host. Assisted and provided me with bathroom key when keypad was not working. Very accommodating. If you're looking for a campsite with electricity, clean bathroom (including hot showers), with good cellular reception (T-Mobile) and beautiful sunset then look no further. This will be my new campsite since I visit the area twice a month. Thank you sir.

Ok, first please read this entire review before making any judgement. Campground is small, able to house 5 RVs or travel trailers. Full hookups and a bath house - looks new as can be - for a VERY inexpensive price. We stayed for a little over 2 weeks while my wife section hiked parts of the Appalachian Trail. Location is 10 miles or less from AT and there are 2 AT crossings within that distance. Lots of fly fishing on this road withing 6-10 miles. If you are hunting in the area, very convenient place to be. We are about a mile or two north of Pembroke and less than a 10 minute drive north to Pearisburg. Walmart is 5 minutes away and there is also a Food Lion and Tractor Supply in town. Weekly rates were under $20 a night and after June 1 our price was in the mid $20's a night. Owner is very friendly and helpful. We were alone for most of the 2 week stay with the exception of a tenter the first few days. Fire pits available at some sights, picnic table at another. If I come back I'll stay here again Spaces are decently deep. I have a 30' toy hauler (37 with ramp down) and a 21' long tow vehicle. Loads of room as this spot (to right of bathhouse) must be 75' deep. You do get a little road noise from hwy 460 and there is a train track about a mile away. Neither bothers us.

Close to town, but feels remote. Lovely people that own it. Really feels like they put some love into the place. Also has a pretty nice view of the hills.

Great place to stop and support someone on the AT. Close to Cherokee Flats and Glen Alton. Less than 2 miles from Boat Ramp at Riverbend Park
