Customer Reviews
The golf carts are out of control! They speed through the park and have almost ran into our truck and a tree. We have been worried about letting our kids walk down the street to the park with the carts zooming around. Some good things it is super close to holiday world and has a shuttle to and from. We came with 2 groups. One stayed in a camper and other stayed in a cabin. Cabin had plenty of room! The camper spot was nice but add golf carts speeding around with loud music non stop. 2 stars because of golf carts out of control
This place was awesome! We stayed in the holiday cottage. It was clean, spacious, lovely, had SO much included (full kitchen stocked, full bathroom). We spent two days at Holiday World and this campground is directly next door. LOVED it! We will return.
Great campground. I do miss the inflatable slide though, that was awesome. I also think some pickleball courts would be an awesome addition here with its rapid growth in popularity. Plus the courts don’t take up as much space as tennis courts. And y’all could rent out paddles/balls for free for the people who didn’t bring their own. Overall, great place located right next to an even better place.
Great place for camping and cabins. You can rent golf carts too. Cabins have bathrooms. Be aware that the showers are small. If there could be an improvement I would say to put a flexible shower head on. It would make taking a shower more comfortable. The cabins can include a master suite on the bottom floor and a loft area above which could have up to five beds. This can be great for friends and family getaways going to Holiday World amusement park which is right next door. There is a shuttle also that goes from here to the amusement park. Otherwise, you can go to a service center nearby to take a shower and bathrooms.
My family booked a Christmas cabin for the weekend. We traveled from Tennessee to visit Holiday World, so we chose Sun outdoors to stay since it is conveniently located. We arrived at 3pm to check in. The girl working the lobby was on the phone when we walked in and after a few minutes she acknowledged us and very quickly got us checked in. We weren't told where our cabin was located or even that we would have to enter a code to go through the gate. After finally finding our cabin, we unloaded our vehicle and started putting stuff away then noticed that our water was not working at all. Had to call the after hours number to get assistance in correcting the problem. A few moments later a young man came and fixed it outside. We chose to explore the resort but unfortunately most amenities were closed. We did enjoy the arcade, however several games took credits but didn't actually work. We returned to the cabin to relax for the night only to find out that the Wi-Fi signal was horrible and would not connect well enough to be able to enjoy anything on TV. Quite unfortunate since there are 3 smart TVs in the cabin, yet you can't watch anything on them because of the weak signal. You're charged "resort fees" that supposedly cover all of the activities and also Wi-Fi so that seems like a ripoff when the wifi doesn't work and most of the things were closed. Also, Holiday World closed at 5pm on Saturday however their recordings from their rides played on repeat all the way thru 2 am Sunday morning. We also noticed ants all over the living room the first night of our stay. They seemed to just get worse throughout the stay. The area is beautiful with great views and I definitely recommend renting a golf cart if you choose to stay here. We enjoyed the gas grill, the beautiful, huge deck and all the area to ride the golf carts. I would probably stay again but not in a rush to go back. I would suggest packing food or stopping along the way somewhere other than Santa Claus to purchase groceries for your trip. We could not believe the prices in the town and regretted not being fully stocked
