Absolutely beautiful area and campgrounds. Very quiet. Just the sound of a few kids playing. We sat in our lawn chairs fishing and watching the children play in the nearby park. Shaggy’s is a restaurant close by and it’s amazing. Everyone is so nice! As far as complaints of full timers…didn’t bother us at all! They were great people! They change sites once a month for monthly or once a year for yearly. All their places were well maintained and they can tell you where to eat and what the fish are biting. Thanks Timberlake! You are doing it right! Definitely coming back.

One night on my travels and one night on my way back through my travels and both experiences were great! A few good restaurants nearby with easy access. The restroom near the pool are clean and very nice. Definitely will be back!

We stayed at Timberlake Campground for 3 nights in our Class A with tow. We made reservations for a back in site on the water canal - N5. Pulling in, there is a lane for checking in. Check in was easy, had to ask for map to our site. Map and camp rules are on stapled photo copy paper from an original probably years old - difficult to read. Interior roads are tight and during our stay we watched many campers bottom out or run off small interior roads that have steep drop off. Upon backing into our site and getting settled we noticed white debris over the patio side. Upon closer inspection we realized it was toilet tissue and spanned from the side closest to the sewage connection downhill to the other side of patio. Some tissues pieces large enough to see feces. Called the front office immediately and went to voicemail. No emergency numbers on info sheet or camp hosts seen. After waiting, we pulled out bleach and hose and cleaned patio best we could. By 1:30 the next day we still had not received a call back regarding our health hazard problem. My husband went in to office to ask if anyone had received the message we left. He was told by office staff, that yes she had heard it this morning and she played it again in front of my husband but offered not explanation as to why no one had contacted us or why the member of the Reservoir Police Department had not been notified (he was the one who handled campground needs I guess?) So not only was the site not checked prior to arrival , customer concerns are ignored as well. Black tank leakage/spillage is a health hazard. This should have been a concern not taken lightly. Husband requested compensation for us spending our first night having to clean spillage and the front office staff could not make that decision, the officer would need to, he could not and had to get a hold of someone offsite. He stated that whomever he spoke with stated it was "against the law in Mississippi to give a refund". Seeing that this was going no where, my husband left the office. Not once, did any representative of the campground come to our site or apologize for the inconvenience. Actually we had the blame placed on us for not letting them know - even though we left a message as soon we were aware of the problem. On the campground - it has the potential for being nice but has become run down with the cracks in sites, poor hook up connections, majority of park being full time so sites crowded with multiple cars parked in driveway and in grass around sites, laundry room washing machines dirty and one laundry cart rusted, did not use bathrooms so cannot comment. Pros - nice view from our site N5. New bathroom being built but not complete. Cons - everything listed above in addition - speed limit did not exist on road in front of our site *Be aware the campground is not marked well for sites and if you come in at dark it might be difficult. We watched many rigs trying to find their spot and making circles.

This state campgrond a clean, well-cared, managed campground. The rates are very reasonable @ 41.00/day (31.00 for disabled or veterans). I'm not sure about the monthly rate, around 600.00 - 650.00/m. We arrived without reservations, which are first-come, first-serve availability. We arrived on Friday in the late afternoon, and the office was closed. One can find the rules, regulations, and procedures in the front. At that time, we were interested in how first come, first serve accommodations work, specific to our Class B+ motor home. I imagine, if otherwise indicated by a sign, it's generally the same for all campers. If you find an empty lot and it does not have a cone, it's yours. Registered people have a unique orange cone placed on the lot until they arrive. When you find an available slot, if the office is closed, you have until the next business day to bring the funds to the office within 3 hours of opening. You also can put the nightly fee in a provided envelope, so there is no need to bother in the morning. Originally we planned on staying just a night or two. When my wife returned after paying our dues, she announced she had booked a night. I guess she must have really liked it here too. The bathrooms are clean, and the grassy areas are well manicured. The tennis/basket court is in good condition. They have a space for younger children to play on monkey bars, slides, and sorts. Pets are allowed as long as they are kept on a leash. Outside of your camper, not sure how that works in tents. I guess it's the same, outside, on a leash. If you have a second vehicle, golf cart, or skateboard, There is a Kroger Grocery Store within a 10-minute walk from the park entrance. The actual time depends upon where you get a lot. There are some level concrete pads, though some are better than others. While it might not matter in a diesel pusher, RVs like mine, which have an extension rack, will bottom out. This may be due to the difference between the thickness of the new pavement and the original concrete pads. Maybe I got lucky, as my place is very level. Many people of all class vehicles cleared out on Monday. I might have found a better spot that day, but once I've touched down, it will be something extraordinary to have me move. I go to the hassle of pulling up levers and retracting sides and water lines; you get the picture. It might be a lakeside spot. Alcohol on premises is strictly prohibited and can result in you being ejected from the park. That said, what I do inside my RV, or being discrete on your lot, shouldn't be a problem. They are not out to hunt down violations. I'm sure this arises for insurance purposes, and you know they have had a fair share of groups and/or individuals who got out of control, thus the rule and sign. It's rare to find a statute or regulation in places such as this until someone comes and ruins it for everyone, things I learned in Kindergarten. Full bars with AT&T and "5G" enhanced service with speeds up to 120mbs and 16 upstream. I also subscribe to Star Link, but where I've parked, I far enjoy the plentiful shade trees to Dishy. Some spaces have a clear view of the southwest sky (Dish, For Example) and large openings to the north (RV Starlink). It's just too hot to bother. 40+ over-the-air television stations. The park doesn't have WIFI, need a hot spot, or tether a cellphone for the internet. We had two daytime water outages due to a needed emergency repair. We had dry camping water, which didn't affect our plan for just such cases. When cutting the grass on commercial mowers, one went by me and, as one side of my RV faces the road, blew a thick cloud of dark dust all over myself, laptop, and doors pleasantries. I'll take 50% of the blame; it's the outdoors. Yet I think the person moving could have been sensitive to those next to the road, the amount of dust he was kicking up, and how that might make some folks a little cranky. Few do not follow Pet on Leash, which causes stress to my Yorkie, call the office. In all, none of these issues were show stoppers.
