This KOA was a little off the beaten path but open in winter months. We stopped in here on our way south in December. Unfortunately, arriving after hours. We were told there was water available but when we arrived it was not operational. It was a heated line but somewhere it froze up. Luckily, we had a little water int he tank still. They had a decent sized bathhouse however, half of it was out of commission. The price was a bit steep for an overnight spot to park with electric and sewer. Not much at the park itself. Aside from the usual KOA gem station and small play area.

Fine campground for smaller RVs. Entrance is tight and interior roads are tight. Large trees were trimmed high but smaller trees were an issue in several spots. If you are staying during the winter do not arrive after dark or call for assistance, this campground is dark and can be hard to navigate even though it's small (tight turns & tree limbs). We made our reservation the day of before noon and we arrived at 4pm.... there was no map for us in the self check-in night box. There was also no pre-drawn maps to available sites. You had to wander the campground to see what was open, and where you'd fit. The only map listing site types/hookups was on the side of the building- take a picture before you wander because the regular guest maps have no legends and you might end up with no sewer or with the wrong amps. When camping here in the winter your site wont have water so you must fill up fresh tank before getting to site- which is fine, we are used to that- but their water pressure was TERRIBLE. It took us an hour to fill from empty to 2/3rs of our fresh tank. WiFi doesn't allow TVs. Verizon signal was good. Small playground- my kids enjoyed it.

We just stayed as an overnight pitstop, but it was very quiet and peaceful. We heard a train off in the distance, but it did not wake us up. When I made the reservation, I asked for a quieter spot and noted that we needed to get a good night’s sleep. The manager Tracy waited until 10 AM to call me to check in because she remembered reading my note! Now that’s hospitality! In the daylight hours, we saw what a lovely campground this is. The value for a full hook up, pull through spot was also terrific. Really appreciate our experience at this KOA and would 100% stay again if we were in the area.

It’s a nice spot, pretty dark skies at night so the stars are nice and visible. It’s very quiet and peaceful for being as crowded as it is. They definitely have good security and run and tight ship. We felt very safe and comfortable. They had some fun things in the store too, cuprite for the fire, that was fun.

Great place if you are only stopping for 1 night. Plenty of trees for shade. Pool has been closed for a couple years for maintenance. They are plenty of dips and ruts that hold water which contributes to trips, falls and holding water for mosquitoes (which are in abundance). Put-Put is nonexistent. Their propane refill is near the main road and does not have any type of protection around it. Safety issue. Overall it needs a lot of TLS and maintenance. Seems like the owners are just collecting money. I will not go back.
