However, for North Carolina residents interested in visiting, it is always recommended to contact Trail Busters directly to inquire about their most current rates and any potential discounts they might offer. Based on common practices for similar local campgrounds, here are some types of promotions or special offers you might consider asking about:

Extended Stay Discounts: If you're planning a longer visit, such as a week or more, some campgrounds offer reduced nightly rates for extended stays. This can make a prolonged, peaceful retreat at Trail Busters more affordable.

Off-Season Rates: Camping during less busy periods, such as late fall, winter, or early spring (outside of peak equestrian event times in Love Valley, if applicable), might come with lower rates. These times can also offer a quieter, more secluded experience.

For North Carolina residents, Trail Busters in Statesville offers an exceptionally suitable and appealing local destination, particularly for those seeking a unique blend of rustic camping and distinctive cultural immersion. Its specific characteristics cater well to locals looking for an accessible, authentic, and quiet outdoor experience within our own state.

Firstly, the campground's proximity to "downtown" Love Valley is an unparalleled draw. For North Carolinians, Love Valley represents a truly unique piece of our state's heritage – an "Old West" town focused on equestrian culture. Being "within about 100 yards" means locals can effortlessly explore this charming, quirky community, attend local events (if any), or simply soak in its distinctive atmosphere. This immediate access to a cultural landmark makes Trail Busters far more than just a place to sleep; it’s a gateway to a memorable local experience.

Secondly, the focus on a rustic yet equipped camping experience aligns perfectly with the desires of many North Carolina outdoor enthusiasts. The provision of "water and electric hookups" addresses essential modern needs for RV campers, while the absence of sewer hookups encourages a more self-sufficient and traditional camping mindset. Access to a "bathroom on the property" further enhances comfort without detracting from the rustic charm. This balance provides an authentic outdoor adventure that remains comfortable for extended stays.

Moreover, the general tranquility and the friendly demeanor of the owner (as noted in one review) contribute to a welcoming and peaceful environment. For locals seeking to escape the noise and hurried pace of urban life, Trail Busters offers a quiet sanctuary. The rural setting in Statesville, while being easily accessible from major interstates, provides that crucial sense of getting away without the burden of long-distance travel.

While one negative review about a specific incident exists, the overall suitability for locals hinges on its core offerings: a simple, quiet camping spot with essential amenities, directly adjacent to a one-of-a-kind North Carolina town. It caters to those who value local character and a laid-back atmosphere over sprawling resorts or extensive amenities. It’s a place for North Carolinians to truly disconnect and appreciate a unique slice of their home state.

I had reservations at trailbusters for the weekend of 10/18/18 to 10/20/18 however due to hurricane Micheal we were not able to come as we live in fl. I did forget to cancel, but with everything going on I forgot. Anyway Daisy called me on 10/18/18 and told me I really screwed her and to never come there. I would hope that she could have shown empathy and understood but instead she lashed out at me. May God bless her
