Promotions or Special Offers

As Washington State Park - Special Use Campsite is part of the Missouri State Parks system, specific, limited-time promotions for individual campsites or cabins are generally not widely advertised in the same way a private business might. However, the Missouri State Parks system does offer consistent value and occasional broader programs that benefit visitors:

  • Affordable State Park Rates: Missouri State Parks are well-known for offering accessible and affordable camping and lodging rates compared to many private campgrounds or resort destinations. This inherent affordability is a continuous "promotion" for Missouri residents.
  • Senior Citizen and Military Discounts: Missouri State Parks often provide discounts for senior citizens and active/retired military personnel on camping fees. It is always advisable to inquire about these specific discounts when making a reservation.
  • Online Reservation Convenience: While not a discount, the user-friendly online reservation system (or phone reservation line at 877-ICampMo / 877-422-6766) allows for booking campsites and cabins up to 12 months in advance, helping visitors secure their preferred dates and avoid disappointment, which is a valuable planning benefit.
  • Seasonal Events and Interpretive Programs: The park regularly hosts a variety of events and interpretive programs, especially during peak seasons. These often free or low-cost activities (such as guided hikes, nature talks, and historical presentations focusing on the petroglyphs or CCC history) add significant value to a stay without being a direct financial promotion. Keep an eye on the Missouri State Parks event calendar for Washington State Park. For example, upcoming events in June, July, and August 2025 include "CCC Company 1743 Park History Celebration," "Cave Weekend," "Outdoor Classroom: Nature Paint Party," and "Celestial Showers: Perseid Meteor Shower Viewing Event."
  • "Cabins for Canines" Program: For pet owners, the availability of specific cabins designated as "Cabins for Canines" is a valuable feature, allowing furry family members to join the trip, which can be seen as a special offer for a niche market.

To confirm any current promotions, eligibility for discounts, or to inquire about special group rates for the "Special Use Campsite" areas, the best course of action is to directly contact Missouri State Parks reservations or the park office itself.

The wife and I took the kids for a float trip and we stayed in the 3 bedroom cabin the park has to rent. It’s more like a 3-bedroom house. It has a total of 5 queen beds and 2 fold out couches. With 2 full bathrooms. Your own patio with a fire pit and a charcoal grill. The cabin is at the end of a road that goes into the woods about a quarter mile. And there is nobody other campers or cabins back there. So it is very private. We had a great time and we will do it again next year.
