Wolf Run State Park Campground About

For those of us in Ohio who cherish the great outdoors and seek a serene escape from the everyday, Wolf Run State Park Campground in Noble Township is a destination well worth exploring. Nestled amidst the scenic, unglaciated hills of southeastern Ohio, this state park offers a refreshing blend of natural beauty and recreational opportunities. It’s a place where generations of Ohioans have come to create lasting memories, and its commitment to improving the camper experience continues to make it a top choice for a peaceful retreat.

Many long-time visitors can attest to the enduring appeal of Wolf Run State Park Campground. As one loyal camper shared, "Been coming here for years. Looks like they're trying to finally update a few things." This feedback speaks to the park's ongoing efforts to enhance its facilities, ensuring that it remains a premier destination for years to come. While recognizing the need for updated online visuals, the core experience of natural beauty and a tranquil environment remains strong.

Another valuable insight from a camper highlights the attentive service: "Sites 93 and 94 are not really pull thru sites as it says online. They are more 'pull off' sites because you literally pull off the main road of the loop. Probably fine for car camping or pop ups but not for 30 foot rv with a slide out. The lady’s in the office were so nice and let us move to new sites which we enjoyed site 108. Lots of open spaces and some shade in the back." This review underscores the helpfulness of the park staff and the willingness to ensure campers find a site that truly fits their needs, even if initial online descriptions might differ slightly. It also points to the variety of sites available, from more open areas to those with more shade, catering to diverse preferences.

Wolf Run State Park, encompassing over 1,000 acres of woodlands and a 220-acre lake, provides a picturesque backdrop for all your camping adventures. Whether you’re drawn to the water for fishing or boating, eager to explore the hiking trails, or simply wish to relax by a campfire under the stars, this campground offers a fulfilling outdoor experience right here in Ohio.

Had a great visit for a few days. The kids went fishing at the lake and we really enjoyed our time there. Very few people in mid April, but that was fine with us!

Sites were narrow. Asphalt breaking up and needing replaced. Interesting that they had pit toilets and then next door a shower building. Since they already had plumbing take out a few showers and put in toilets. Wouldn't go back.
