Me and my family have lived here for many years and the people in the office and the staff who works there haven’t disrespected me nor have I disrespected them, I know that as tenants we have rights and these rights must be respected since our money counts. Up to this point any problem that I have had the office has been helpful and since I moved here I have not had any problems to this point is how we address the manger and the staff that works in the office and to have a safe community is to respect our neighbors and not get involved in their lives since each family has its difficulties but respect for others makes us have a quiet and peaceful community and if we are good neighbors and we don't like some activities that take place in the streets of the community we can call the police but they also have to do their job since our taxes that we pay are worth it and if we have a problem with a neighbor it is better to try to solve it between us and the office does not have to know the problem you have with your neighbor I think that as mature people we can solve it among ourselves if we see that our neighbor is not seeing reason you can call the police and they will help you reach good terms with your neighbor what I understand is that the office is to receive the rent and any problem we have of property and personal problems, they are not there to solve our lives And I want to thank oak park terrace for their service

Cute community near shopping centers, with secure mailboxes, nice homes, and lots of beautiful trees. School busses pick up & drop off the kids for school. The community is located right across the street from a gas station & laundromat.

Been here for few years. Lots of drug activity. Lot of trailers infested with fleas/bed bugs. Mice out of control. Probably not ideal for a family to live here. Shootings more often then should be, stabbing recently, can look that one up on the news. Lack of security. All around horrible place. Not too mention, a few of the trailers that move people in and out at night, more than likely are subrenting illegally, and good luck finding a place to park you car in thos over populated trailer park. Flooding dead ends, bad snow plowing. Mantinance is a joke. BUY ELSEWHERE!

In the almost 2 years I’ve lived in the park I’ve been happy with most of my neighbors, our home and the location but it has become very evident that the management is not at all responsive, and they do not care about the tenants. They don’t tell you when they are turning off the water. It takes days to get ahold of someone in the office. One of their trees fell and broke our cars windshield and we were told it was an act of god even tho I asked them to have it trimmed for months! Someone egged our house and stole multiple things off our porch and a drunk driver totaled my truck and drove off as it was parked in front of our home so I can’t say that it’s a great area either. The property is barely taken care of. Maintenance requests are not addressed. They care about there rent money and that’s it! Don’t move here!

Many years ago, this was a great community to live in. When Oak park terrace was owned by a private family, problems were handled in a timely manner. Our streets were plowed shortly after a snowfall in the winter, and were repaired in the spring if they needed repair. Our playground and the few vacant lots were maintained by maintenance and always looked very nice. The owners were very involved and in-touch with their residents. After the Lake Shore Management company bought Oak park terrace, this became a very unsightly and uncaring community to live in! For the last 9 years the company has failed to uphold basic standards for its residents. It will normally take them days to remove snow from the streets after a snowfall, and the condition of the streets for several years was beyond poor. The company does not stay involved at all. Now there are more empty lots then iv ever seen because families are leaving. The empty lots as well as the playground area are rarely mowed and kept up. Minus the brand new houses they have put in, Oak park terrace has become disgusting looking community. I would not recommend this community to any of my friends or family members as a great place to live!
