Customer Reviews
We needed a little reset before the summer and my fiancée had visited this campground 10 years ago and said he loved it. We decided to to try it out again and we were not disappointed! We were at campground 12 which was the first one, right across from the camp manager. We figured this would be easier for us and our pup as this was our first time camping in a good while. There’s no reception but we actually appreciated that and just completely unplugging. The campground itself was great with the water pump right next our site, a fire pit, picnic table and elevated tent site (which was great because there was a afternoon where it absolutely poured) We did some fishing, trail walking and exploring while here. Bathrooms and showers are clean and def a plus. We loved this campground and will definitely be back soon!
Amazing experience camping here! Beautiful area with exceptionally clean bathrooms and showers. The views inside of the campground are breathtaking as the campsites are nestled into the peaceful mountain side. The camp hosts Tomiko and Rick were very hospitable, welcoming and very kind to us! They made us feel very welcome, we’re looking forwards to seeing them again next year! Definitely a spot to come back for an annual getaway!
The campground is very well maintained. I visited with the sole purpose of fly fishing the Potomac and it didn't disappoint. The access road to the campground ran parallel to the Potomac which gave me plenty of opportunity to scope fishing spots out as I planned my outings. Having access to private showers, restrooms, and water made the stay really easy. Couldn't recommend this place any more.
I loved camping at big ben campground wv it's a very clean well kept place the bathrooms and showers are kept very clean the fire pits are also well taken care of also why wouldn't you want to come here there so much to do hike camp tubing swimming etc and the camp host are amazing Tomiko and Rick they go above and beyond to make the camp a great place to go let lose and have fun 10/10 will come back again!!😀 😊
My boyfriend found this campsite and it was such an amazing experience! The camp hosts (Debbie and Jean), are so kind and can answer pretty much any question you have. The campsites feel very private but it’s easy to talk to your neighbors ! Everyone was so friendly and you can even tube on the river surrounding the campgrounds. There is a store about 20 mins prior to the campsite, and you’ll lose service around there (though it was so nice to be disconnected!). The only reason it doesn’t have five stars is that I would recommend bringing your own water!
