From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family. The sense of community among the campers was refreshing and heartwarming , and it was clear that everyone there shared a love for the great outdoors, and community. A special shoutout to the owner, Bob, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. His kindness, hospitality, and attention to detail made us feel right at home. He is always there to talk and or challenge you to a game of ping pong. If you're looking for a campground that combines stunning views with a family-like atmosphere and exceptional hospitality, look no further than Big lake Campground. We can't wait to return!
Loved our stay, wish we could of stayed longer, we found this place by accident and are planning on making it our regular stop only for two or three days next year on our way further north...peaceful, quiet, beautiful view of the lake, shallow water off the dock for kids to play- shallow water goes out about 70 foot or more...
We check in, went for a swim and just finished dinner on our first night. So far.... It's amazing! The swimming is the sandiest lake I've ever been in. The spot for only $30 a night is right on the water. Small but absolutely perfect. We haven't met the owner yet as he's out fishing but a nice lady checked us in and we can only assume he's as amazing as his place. This will be a yearly place for us!
She charged me $20 to dump my tanks! I don't believe they want travelers to dump tanks here. Never been charged that much, my tank is only 45 gallon.
Extremely personable owner. Small campground on the bigger lake. Close to happy and friendly small townships and villages. Relaxing visit.
