For Floridians, the allure of RV travel lies in its flexibility and the opportunity to explore our beautiful state at leisure. Whether you're embarking on a cross-state adventure, seeking a temporary home during a transition, or simply looking for a convenient and comfortable overnight stop, finding the right RV park is crucial. In Jacksonville, a vibrant city known for its expansive river, diverse neighborhoods, and proximity to both natural and urban attractions, Big Tree RV Park on Dunn Avenue stands out as a welcoming and practical choice for RVers.
Big Tree RV Park offers a blend of essential amenities and a friendly atmosphere, making it a favorite among its guests. One enthusiastic visitor declared, "Love, love, love this place. It’s close to the water and trails. They now have a restaurant and the food is homemade and yummy! They also have cabins and plenty of tent camping with wooden patios. The workers there went over and above for us. Definitely put it on your list to stay at." This review highlights key features that enhance the guest experience, from the on-site dining to the exceptional service.
Another testament to the park's suitability comes from a family seeking a transitional living solution: "My daughter and son-in-law needed a place to live in their house buying process. Big Tree fit the bill perfectly..... Clean, safe and fairly priced! It helps that the folks running the business are nice as well! Easy to give them 5 🌟" This feedback underscores the park's reliability as a clean, safe, and reasonably priced option, coupled with friendly management – all critical factors for both short and long-term stays.
While some reviewers note it's more of a functional "RV Parking" stop rather than a "resort" with extensive activities, its strong points lie in its core offerings: "It's a no-nonsense place where you can unwind after a day of work or adventure, with enough space to set up and relax." Reviewers also appreciate the "strong WiFi and well-maintained sites, which feature large cement pads and grassy areas for a bit of comfort." Kasie & Charles couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. We enjoyed the park and the trees!
I lived in the park for 3 months while working here in Jacksonville. It is a well maintained and clean property. It was a nice quiet relaxing spot to stay.. Thank you!
The price is okay but I strongly do not recommend staying there unless you like being controlled by an extreme dictator that has triple standards. Not aloud to have a small fence, yet 2 rv spaces away has a fence and a refrigerator sitting outside. Not allowed to park on the grass which is unacceptable yet several people do! They also spy on you in more ways than one!! So if you like being a slave say there, If you like to have rights and be an American, DO NOT STAY THERE! Yes, I was there for 6 months which is why I have seen this all first hand.
