We Love this State Park! The rangers and hosts are friendly and do a wonderful job maintaining the Park, facilities and the campsites. The sites are all different, level with gravel-all with a picnic table, grill, fire pit, and clothes line. It’s easy to reserve online, & they keep you informed with the information you need, before arriving. The coded entrance also gives an added sense of safety. The roads are easy to bike ride on, and the trails are fun for us, & our dogs! There are mutt mitt stations located around the campground and park. Everything is well marked. Oh yes, there is also trash pick up at your site, every morning!
Dec 28, 2024 · LoriI really like this campground.🏕️ It is my favorite out of the more than half dozen in Florida state parks I have visited🤩 Again it is another small one with only two loops ➰ Having a total of only 30 sites. However this time the hosts are not on 2 of the sites. 👍🏻 There is a separate host pull-through site in the middle of the loop. So 29 sites are available.* This is the third tiny state park campground I have visited.🫣 I think only Big Lagoon may have had less spots but it is currently being refurbished 🙌🏻 All of the sites have clean gravel on them, and are very neatly groomed.👨🏻🌾 Magnolia circle with the lower half numbers, has larger sites and a couple feature the 6 x 6 hammock poles, which are a brilliant idea!💡 This is also the first park I've been to in many thousands of miles where they come by in the morning and pick up your trash!🗑️ There is a dump station here but this is another Park where all the sites have sewer💩⤵️ Titi loop (19-30) is smaller and does not have these hammock posts. Also because they are narrower I noticed in many of the sites the fire pit is 🔥 too close to the RV for use, and because they are attached to a brick foundation they cannot be moved to the outside of the site. 😲 I have issues with the RV sites being available to tenters.⛺ There should be a separate rustic/primitive loop for people in tents.🧐 They don't need such a large level site with power water and sewer. Especially considering there are so few of these available for RVs.🤷🏻♂️ Wonderful hiking trail along the river, up on the bluffs opposite the campground.🚶🏻♂️ Several signs telling you about the Flora.🪧 Firewood 🪵at this location is $8 a bundle which equates to more than $1 each stick! More than the price of eggs.🥚 You could easily spend $20 - $40 on firewood over the weekend.🔥 I think I'd rather take myself out to eat instead of burning up money....😅
May 19, 2025 · Michael ScottLoved the campground. Had the worst campground host ever. Tommy, was extremely rude, threatened us because my husband uses a mobility scooter and he was told he wasn't allowed on the boardwalks, because they are for feet and he was reporting us to the ranger. He made us feel very uncomfortable for the rest of our stay. Employees told us he was just having a bad day, because he had to remove a homeless man, and someone that snuck in. That wasn't our fault, and he shouldn't take it out on paying disabled people. He never apologized or made any attempt too. The campground was just what we wanted woodsy and quiet, but unfortunately we won't return if he is the host.
Jan 03, 2025 · Sally CicottaA very nice and cozy campground with plenty of space, well maintained campsites and bathrooms. There is a beautiful riverbank and short hikes nearby.
Oct 20, 2024 · shaked gBeen visiting every years like 2013 and just love the peacefulness of the campground. Everybody is respectful to there neighbor campers and minding the quite hour curfew in place. I deer hunt so bed early n early rise at which time, I move quietly not to disturb others
