Customer Reviews
Great place to experience the mother nature. Close to the sky so you can see lots of stars. Beautiful red and yellow leaves of trees on fall. No place to take shower but it deserves to stay couple of days.
This is a old school RV spot. The location is really off the beaten path if you not on the Blue Ridge. The sites really need some TLC but it is located among the old growth trees and it is super quiet.
I thought this was a really cool campground. It has a rolling topography which is more interesting than a flat campground. My tent site was pretty good size and backed up to the woods. There were stone steps from the parking paddock down to the level tent site, picnic table and fire pit. Bathrooms were nice. Ranger was very polite and professional. Location on Blue Ridge Parkway was great. Stop at Tuggles Restaurant just north of the campground to get your food, ice and drinks before going into the campground. Hope to return.
We always love camping at Rocky Knob. Don't mind the rustic camping, great camp host, most sites will accommodate. You pick out your site, drive out & come back in the opposite direction. Make reservations, not a problem. Bathrooms are clean. We usually come here a couple times a year. Blue ridge is beautiful anytime of the year.
Nice large Campground. Camp hosts are always super nice people. No hot showers here. Plenty of hiking available. Short distance to a couple of Wineries and the town of Floyd, Va that’s well worth your visit.
