Brookside RV Resort About

For many Tennesseans, the allure of the Great Smoky Mountains combined with the vibrant attractions of Pigeon Forge creates the perfect setting for an RV adventure. When choosing a place to park your home-on-wheels, finding a resort that offers both tranquility and unbeatable access to the area's highlights is key. Brookside RV Resort in Pigeon Forge stands out as a unique and highly desirable option, offering a blend of quiet comfort and convenient proximity that caters perfectly to the local traveler.

Brookside RV Resort isn't your typical transient campground. What makes it particularly distinctive is its ownership model: it's an "RV Park, owned by the people," meaning individual RVers own their lots and RVs. This creates a strong sense of community and ensures that the park is "well kept" and clean, as residents have a vested interest in its upkeep. While it might be "small" in scale, this often translates to a more intimate and peaceful atmosphere, allowing you to truly unwind after a day of exploring the bustling attractions of Pigeon Forge.

This article will provide a clear, engaging, and informative overview of Brookside RV Resort, detailing its prime location, the services and features it offers, and why its unique community model makes it an excellent choice for Tennessee locals looking for a stable and welcoming base in the Smoky Mountains. Get ready to discover your next favorite Pigeon Forge retreat.

Location and Accessibility

Brookside RV Resort is ideally situated at 1327 Wears Valley Rd, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863, USA. This location offers a highly sought-after balance: it's "less than 2 miles from the main Parkway," making it incredibly convenient for accessing all the major attractions of Pigeon Forge, yet it remains "fairly quiet" and peaceful. This means you can easily get to Dollywood, dinner shows, outlet shopping, and countless other amusements without enduring long drives or excessive traffic once you're on site.

A significant advantage of its location is that "the trolley stops there." The Pigeon Forge Mass Transit trolley system provides an excellent and stress-free way to navigate the area, allowing you to leave your RV parked and avoid the hassle of finding parking at popular destinations. This is a huge benefit for enjoying everything Pigeon Forge has to offer. While you might occasionally "hear people on the coaster next door," this minimal ambient noise is generally considered "not bad at all," a small trade-off for the unparalleled convenience and the otherwise tranquil setting. The Wears Valley Road location also offers scenic routes to other parts of the Smoky Mountains, making it a perfect hub for wider exploration of the region.

Services Offered

Brookside RV Resort, being a well-maintained park with privately owned lots, focuses on providing essential and high-quality services to ensure a comfortable stay for its residents and guests. While the emphasis is on the ownership model, common amenities for RV resorts in the area typically include:

  • Full Hookup RV Sites: The resort features 65 sites, primarily for RVs (no tents allowed), with full hookups including electric (30/20/15 amp and 50 amp available), water, and sewer connections. Most sites are noted as "pretty level."
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: The park prides itself on being "clean" and "well kept," a direct benefit of its ownership structure where residents contribute to the upkeep. This applies to both individual lots and common areas.
  • Swimming Pool: A swimming pool is available for guests, providing a refreshing spot to relax and cool off during warmer months.
  • Laundry Facilities: Essential for longer stays, a laundry facility is typically available on-site, offering convenience for residents.
  • Internet/Wi-Fi: Internet access is provided, allowing guests to stay connected during their visit.
  • Cable TV: Cable TV hookups are generally available at the sites, providing entertainment options.
  • Pet Friendly: Brookside RV Resort is pet friendly, though it's always advisable to call for any specific restrictions or fees regarding pets.

Features / Highlights

  • Unique Ownership Model: A key highlight is that "Each person owns their lot and RV." This fosters a strong sense of community and commitment to maintaining the park's high standards of cleanliness and upkeep, which benefits all visitors.
  • Excellent Location: The resort's position "less than 2 miles from the main Parkway" means convenient access to all Pigeon Forge attractions while offering a more "fairly quiet" atmosphere than being directly in the hustle.
  • Trolley Stop On-Site: The convenience of having a Pigeon Forge trolley stop directly at the park is a major advantage, allowing guests to explore attractions without driving or parking concerns.
  • Well-Maintained Grounds: Repeatedly praised as "clean" and "well kept," the overall appearance and tidiness of the park contribute significantly to a pleasant stay.
  • Friendly Community: Due to the ownership structure and the general atmosphere, the "people are very nice," suggesting a welcoming and neighborly environment.
  • Outdoor Swimming Pool: A valuable amenity for relaxation and recreation, especially during the warmer seasons.
  • Small and Quiet Atmosphere: Being a smaller park contributes to its peaceful ambiance, allowing for a more relaxing experience despite its proximity to attractions. The sounds from the nearby coaster are described as minimal.
  • Accepts Big Rigs: With pull-thru sites and 50 amp service, the park is capable of accommodating larger RVs, making it accessible for a wide range of recreational vehicles.

Promotions or Special Offers

As Brookside RV Resort operates on an ownership model for its lots, traditional "promotions" in the sense of widely advertised seasonal discounts for short-term rentals might be less common compared to parks with purely rental models. However, for those seeking to rent a lot, it is always recommended to contact the park directly. They can provide information on current availability of rental sites (if any are offered by owners or the management), current rates, and any specific deals that might be available for longer stays or during off-peak seasons. Given that individual lot owners might rent out their spaces, prices and availability can vary. Inquire directly with the resort office at the provided phone number to get the most accurate and up-to-date information on any potential rental opportunities or special considerations.

Great place to live. Very clean restrooms and laundry. Not sure about nightly rentals though as each lot is privately owned.
