As a state park operated by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Brown County State Park's "promotions" are typically structured around its standard fees, seasonal rates, and annual passes rather than traditional commercial discounts. However, Indiana locals can benefit from several aspects:
- Annual Entrance Permits: Investing in an Indiana State Park Annual Entrance Permit can offer significant savings for frequent visitors, providing unlimited access to all Indiana State Parks and State Recreation Areas for a year.
- Off-Peak Season Rates/Experience: While not a "promotion," winter camping at Brown County State Park (typically November-March) offers a unique and often quieter experience at slightly adjusted rates, with limited services. This can be a form of "special offer" for those seeking solitude and a different perspective of the park.
- Camping Rates: Camping fees are standardized across Indiana State Parks, with water & electric sites typically around $34/night and rustic sites around $24/night (prices subject to change, verify current rates). Full hookup sites are around $40/night. These rates are often competitive for the amenities and experiences offered.
- Package Deals (Abe Martin Lodge): While specific to the lodge and not the campground, the Abe Martin Lodge sometimes offers seasonal specials or packages (e.g., "Summer Special" or "Fall Special" with discounts on multi-night stays Sunday-Thursday), which can enhance a visit to the park as a whole. Check the Indiana State Park Inns website for current details.
- Friends Groups and Volunteering: While not a direct discount, supporting the "Friends of Brown County State Park" or volunteering can offer a deeper connection to the park and potentially access to special events or opportunities.

Cold weather camping in a tent. Makes the camp 🔥 that much better. Camp sites were all snow covered, so everything was extra quiet. Both nights I even got to hear coyotes howling into the night...
This place has a large variety of spaces for camping including large class A TVs caswell as tent camping, I liked that I could have a tent spot with electrical and well maintained bathrooms. You cant beat the variety of trails for hiking and mountain biking, the Abe Martin lodge has excellent food and is a must when we are here, camping reservations are easy to use online including a pic of your campsite.
Beautiful campground. The park is very large and the campground is a long way from the entrance. Lots of hiking and biking from this area. Camp store is nearby and offers the basics if you forgot something. Most of the sites in this area are paved and fairly level. We stayed on site 44. The main road in and out is close and therefore you hear traffic all day. There are water spigots in various places but not well marked. Very nice place, come and check it out.
Had a nice time here. Easy check-in and nice camping facilities (water supply, garbage bins, bathrooms). Spaces were a bit tight but generally enough room. We were at site #17 which had some nice shade trees, but other spots were open to the sun.
We walked up a trail to the campground to use the restroom and a man, woman and dog at a campsite where the trail entered the campground got angry that we walked past them. They said it was not a trail. They got even madder when we went back. Very unfriendly people. Sign we saw is pictured
