This campground has garnered a reputation for being a real treasure, particularly among those who value genuine connections and a laid-back atmosphere.
One loyal customer enthusiastically proclaimed, "Go here!!!! I’ve been to campgrounds on my motorcycle all over the county, and in Canada. Camp Creekside was my favorite! EVERYONE was so friendly and helpful. The place was clean, well kept & quiet. And the cost was very reasonable - something that is unheard of during a motorcycle rally anywhere else I’ve traveled." This glowing endorsement highlights the core strengths of Camp Creekside: exceptional friendliness, a peaceful environment, and remarkable affordability, especially during busy times like motorcycle rallies. The reviewer's declaration, "All and all Camp Creekside was a real treasure to find and I will definitely be back!!", speaks volumes about the lasting positive impression the campground leaves on its visitors.
However, it's important to set realistic expectations to ensure a satisfying visit. Another reviewer offered a more pragmatic perspective, noting, "I think this is OK place as long as you make an informed decision and know all the resources that are not here." This honest feedback points to the campground's more rustic nature, mentioning aspects like a "dilapidated bus broken down in the front" and areas with "lots of trash scattered around." While this might not appeal to everyone, it underscores the authentic, less manicured feel that some campers actively seek. The same reviewer did praise the "very nice" shower houses, despite them being cold in the morning, indicating that essential facilities are available and functional.
Camp Creekside appears to be a place that thrives on its unique character and the camaraderie it fosters. It’s a spot for those who prioritize a friendly, welcoming community over resort-like amenities. If your idea of camping involves straightforward accommodations, a chance to meet interesting people, and a quiet spot to rest, then Camp Creekside could be exactly what you're looking for. Instead, it offers an honest, affordable, and genuinely friendly camping experience that many, particularly those on two wheels, have come to love and recommend enthusiastically. Customer Reviews
I think this is OK place as long as you make an informed decision and know all the resources that are not here. When you check in, you’re greeted by a camp host whose area looks a lot like Sanford and Son. Thank goodness we were just here for a weekend. There is an old dilapidated bus broken down in the front of the campground and a trailer next to it that looks absolutely horrible and looks like it’s been there for 30 years. The shower houses are very nice however they were very cold in the morning People let their dogs run everywhere without leashes, and there’s lots of poop. We were actually scared to go for a walk because one of the campers had a pitbull that he did not put on a leash at all. Some of the people They live there were very nice however. There was lots of trash scattered around where we were camping and lots of metal junk I’m not sure we will probably be back as this is not really something I would recommend. There is no pool of any kind. There is no laundry of any kind. There is no community room or store that was ever open.. If all you’re looking for is a spot to stay the night this will probably work for you. Just be careful.
Go here!!!! I’ve been to campgrounds on my motorcycle all over the county, and in Canada. Camp Creekside was my favorite! EVERYONE was so friendly and helpful. The place was clean, well kept & quiet. And the cost was very reasonable - something that is unheard of during a motorcycle rally anywhere else I’ve traveled. All and all Camp Creekside was a real treasure to find and I will definitely be back!! ps: Do NOT eat at the BBQ joint across the street…
This is an amazing RV Park. It sits right next to a natural spring fed creek, full of all kinds of fish and ducks. Great view of lake still, but enough away to not be bothered by lake traffic. Nice actual restrooms with waterfall showers. Not a pit toilet. Basic stores and very good restaurants within walking distance. As well as public access to lake right across the road. Edit: Was forced into first review just for discount. After almost a year here, I can say it is NOT worth it. Way better places cost less. Most people here are fake and try to start problems behind people's back. There's a man who isn't even an employee, who is actually friends with old owner, I'm pretty sure is trying to undermine the actual staff. ALOT of hidden racism. The few people who actually are nice stick to themselves. Kids enjoy it here. But only because they don't see these things in life yet. However I've even watched other people's kids be judged here. all in all, do research. There are way better places around the lake.
Went to Camp Creekside for the bike rally at Lake of the Ozarks. HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE! EVERONE at camp was Awesome. The bathroom= top knotch. Wonderful place to stay.
Stayed here on a roadtrip and LOVED it!!! The creek very peaceful- saw ducks and a beaver. Everything was very clean and everyone was friendly. Beautiful and quiet place, would love to go back!!
