If you are looking for a hidden gem, this is it! We booked a site relatively at the last minute but on the way had truck issues and had to turn around and go back home. We called and explained to the staff what happened and asked if they had any other accommodations. They offer cottages as well and after a short conversation, we had a place to stay and Spring Break was not ruined. We arrived very late but had no issues gaining access to our home away from home for a few days. The room was very clean and just right. After checking out the property the next morning in daylight, it was evident that it is very well maintained. The maintenance crew were doing just that, taking care of the property. All of the staff were so helpful and kind. Although this is considered to be on the bay, the sand just a few steps from the camp ground is perfect and is so peaceful. Our stay there was absolutely perfect! Lastly, after checking out, they called us the next day to let us know they found a necklace on the bathroom floor. It was my daughter’s and she was very upset that she left it on accident. They immediately offered to send it to us and it showed up at our house a few days later. This tells you about the integrity and character of the people that run this place! We will be going back….as soon as my truck is fixed. 🙄
Apr 24, 2025 · Jared PopeGreat place to stay. Great pool and friendly staff. Good internet and cable leaves a little to be desired. Great beach right across the street. Been here several times and the beach is never crowded.
Jun 06, 2025 · Knarf SSince we've never been in the RV up near the panhandle, we decided to take a long weekend for our anniversary. We arrived Thursday and upon pulling in, was given brief instructions of the park layout (which is extremely small and NO food the tiny store) and pointed towards the general direction of our site. We were in site #15 on the left side of the office. The roads going through the park are extremely small and have to be navigated with precision. They don't offer parking assistance and rarely did I see any workers roaming around. While the grounds were neatly kept, the dog park had several piles of poo which had been neglected to be picked up. Even though there are threatening signs of a fee if you don't clean up after your pet, I would think the maintenance people would clean it up, but hat wasn't the case in the 2 days we were there. The closest restaurants for a 3.3 Mi down the street. We decided to bike there which isn't the smartest idea, since the bike lane is very narrow and you're biking on a highway. If you don't have a toad with your RV, I highly suggest you omit this park as it's very boring and there's no entertainment & virtually nothing to do besides the pool or beach. We did venture off and walked along the beach but it was full of jellyfish & a black silt material washed up at the water's edge. Unfortunately, I was expecting beautiful blue water but it was a murky brownish green. For the cost, it was quite a disappointment. We left a day early and unfortunately will not be returning.
May 31, 2025 · Lynn WilhelmWe really enjoyed our RV stay at this Resort. Everything was very clean and well maintained. There was no lack of amenities and all the staff was very kind and helpful. The beach across the road was clean and beautiful. Pros: Concrete RV parking with full hook ups, Shower and Bathroom house with 3 showers per gender, 4 front load washers and dryers in the laundry room, large full size kitchen with anything you may need to cook (if you decide not to cook in your RV), cute small playground my daughter enjoyed, fenced in dog exercise pen and lots of dog poop clean up stations.
Jan 30, 2025 · Julie BeckerWe recently stayed here on our winter southern trek. I had orginally booked this as short stay to see what this place had to offer. It must be good as we came back a few weeks later for a week. It has a great beach directly across the street which is totally dog friendly which is rare in Florida. You will need to take boards to level your coach on the right side as the park is built on a hill.. The sites are close to level but lean a little bit down hill..hence the levelling boards or blocks. Internet is fair but considering where you are it not reasonable to expect 5G. The staff did an excellent job maintaining the park and answering any questions we may have had. Most likely we will return again if our travel route takes in this general direction. Carabelle is a laid back fishing town with the basic needs such as grocery , gas etc. If you are heading this way ensure you consider this park.
