Chassa Oaks RV Resort About

For Florida RV enthusiasts seeking a serene, well-maintained, and ideally located retreat, Chassa Oaks RV Resort in Homosassa, Florida, offers a distinctive experience. Situated amidst the natural splendor of the Nature Coast, this resort is designed for those who appreciate tranquility, community, and direct access to Florida's stunning outdoor attractions. While it operates on a unique "condo ownership" model, leading to a slightly different guest experience, Chassa Oaks provides a high standard of living for RVers looking for a quiet, long-term haven.

Chassa Oaks RV Resort presents itself as a peaceful oasis surrounded by lush woods, providing a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Guests consistently highlight the impressive amenities, including a "huge pool and clubhouse" and a "great laundry room." What sets Chassa Oaks apart is its exclusive nature: all 39 sites are privately owned, each boasting full hookups. This ownership model fosters a sense of community and ensures a well-cared-for environment. While some might find the contact method for rentals (via individual owners or the Condominium Association) less conventional than a typical RV park office, those who seek a more permanent or extended stay often find this arrangement to be a significant advantage, promoting a harmonious and established community feel. It's a place where you can truly immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Homosassa while enjoying top-tier RV living.

Location and Accessibility

Chassa Oaks RV Resort is ideally located at 11000 S Suncoast Blvd, Homosassa, FL 34446, USA. This prime address places it directly on the beautiful Nature Coast of Citrus County, an area renowned for its picturesque "Old-Florida" charm and abundant natural resources. Being on Suncoast Boulevard (US-19) offers excellent accessibility, providing a direct route to and from major roadways across Florida. The resort is nestled on 50 acres near the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Refuge, ensuring that natural beauty surrounds your stay and outdoor adventures are always just moments away.

Despite its convenient location on a main thoroughfare, the resort is designed to offer a quiet, secluded feel, being "surrounded by woods." This strategic positioning provides the best of both worlds: easy access for RVers arriving from various parts of Florida and beyond, coupled with a peaceful environment away from direct highway noise. For those looking to explore, the resort is "close to the rivers/springs for all the water activities and too many hiking/biking trails to choose from." This proximity to natural attractions makes Chassa Oaks an excellent base camp for exploring the Homosassa area's famous springs, rivers, and wildlife. While some visitors have noted that the internal park roads can be narrow, requiring careful navigation for larger rigs and potentially requiring unhooking before entry, this is a minor consideration for those who appreciate the tranquil, natural setting and the high quality of the privately owned sites.

Services Offered

Chassa Oaks RV Resort, while operating under a unique ownership model, offers a range of high-quality services and amenities designed for comfortable and extended RV living. It’s important to note that direct "services" in terms of an on-site rental office are limited due to the private ownership of sites, meaning communication for availability and bookings is often through individual owners or the Condominium Association.

  • Full Hookup RV Sites: All 39 sites are privately owned and come equipped with full hookups, typically including 30/50 amp electric, water, and sewer connections. This ensures a convenient and self-sufficient stay for RVers.
  • Spacious RV Sites: Reviews indicate that sites are generally well-maintained and offer a good degree of privacy, allowing for a comfortable setup of your RV.
  • Large Swimming Pool: A significant highlight is the "huge pool," providing a refreshing escape, especially during Florida's warmer months. It's a central gathering point for relaxation and enjoyment.
  • Clubhouse: A well-appointed clubhouse serves as a communal hub for residents and long-term guests, likely offering space for social gatherings, events, and relaxation. While no specific activities were detailed in reviews, clubhouses in such resorts often host community events.
  • Great Laundry Room: A modern and well-maintained laundry facility is available on-site, offering convenience for residents to manage their personal needs during longer stays.
  • Pet-Friendly Environment: While not explicitly detailed, most RV resorts of this caliber are pet-friendly, with designated areas or policies for responsible pet ownership, contributing to a comfortable experience for those traveling with furry companions.
  • Surrounded by Woods: The natural wooded surroundings offer shade, a quiet ambiance, and a sense of immersion in nature, enhancing the overall living experience.
  • Access to Nearby Nature: Although not directly on-site, the resort's location provides easy access to the nearby rivers and springs for various water activities, as well as an abundance of hiking and biking trails.

It is crucial for prospective short-term renters to understand that finding availability often requires contacting individual site owners, as there isn't a central rental office for transient stays. However, for long-term or seasonal residents, this model provides stability and a strong community feel.

Features / Highlights

Chassa Oaks RV Resort shines with several key features and highlights that make it a desirable destination for RV owners, particularly those seeking a peaceful and established community for extended stays:

  • Privately Owned Sites (Condo Ownership Style): This is the defining feature of Chassa Oaks. All 39 RV sites are privately owned, creating a well-cared-for and stable environment. This model appeals to those looking for a long-term or seasonal base in Florida, offering a sense of permanence and community that differs from transient RV parks.
  • Exclusive & Quiet Atmosphere: Tucked away amidst natural woods, the resort offers a remarkably quiet and serene environment. This "condo ownership" style contributes to a more settled and peaceful atmosphere, making it ideal for those seeking relaxation away from the hustle and bustle.
  • Exceptional Amenities: The resort boasts a "huge pool" and a "great laundry room," amenities that are highly valued by RVers, especially those on extended stays. The clubhouse further enhances the community aspect, providing a space for social interaction.
  • Full Hookups at Every Site: Each of the 39 sites comes with full hookups, ensuring maximum convenience for residents. This means easy access to water, sewer, and electrical connections (20, 30, and 50 amp services are typical for full hookups).
  • Proximity to Nature Coast Attractions: Its location in Homosassa places residents within easy reach of the area's famous natural attractions. This includes the pristine rivers and springs like the Chassahowitzka River, popular for kayaking, paddleboarding, and wildlife viewing (including manatees). Numerous hiking and biking trails are also readily accessible, offering endless outdoor recreational opportunities.
  • Well-Maintained Grounds: The private ownership model often translates into meticulously maintained sites and common areas, reflecting the pride of ownership within the community.
  • Long-Term Stay Focus: While individual owners may rent out their sites for shorter periods, the resort's structure makes it particularly suitable for long-term snowbirds or those looking for a permanent RV base in Florida.
Promotions or Special Offers

Due to its unique "condo ownership" model where sites are privately owned rather than centrally managed for rentals, Chassa Oaks RV Resort typically does not offer traditional "promotions" or "special offers" in the way a conventional RV park might. Availability for rentals, and any associated pricing or deals, would generally depend on individual site owners who choose to rent out their lots.

Here's what Floridians interested in Chassa Oaks should understand about potential "offers":

  • Owner-Specific Rentals: Any "special offer" would come directly from an individual lot owner who is looking to rent out their site. This might involve competitive rates for longer stays or seasonal discounts, but these are not resort-wide promotions.
  • Long-Term Value: The primary "value proposition" for Chassa Oaks is its suitability for long-term or seasonal stays. For snowbirds or those looking for an extended base, the cost-effectiveness of a privately rented lot compared to daily or weekly rates at a standard RV park can be a significant saving over time.
  • Community Benefits: While not a discount, the inherent "offer" of Chassa Oaks is the quality of life it provides: a quiet, well-maintained community with excellent amenities like a large pool and clubhouse, often for a more stable monthly rate than transient parks.
  • Contacting Owners: To inquire about potential rentals and any owner-specific pricing, prospective renters would typically need to search for individual listings, possibly on RV rental forums, real estate sites, or through the Condominium Association if they facilitate rentals for owners.

Therefore, while you won't find advertised "promotions" from a central management, the "offer" of Chassa Oaks lies in its unique ownership structure providing a premium, quiet, and stable environment for long-term RV living in a desirable Florida location.

Contact Information

For those interested in Chassa Oaks RV Resort, it's important to note the unique "condo ownership" style. While the resort itself has a physical address, inquiries about renting a site typically involve contacting individual owners or the Condominium Association. Based on available public information, here is the general contact information:

Address: 11000 S Suncoast Blvd, Homosassa, FL 34446, USA

Phone: (352) 628-0900 (This number is associated with the Chassa Oaks RV Resort Condominium Association, Inc., or a general office. It's the best starting point for general inquiries or to inquire about a list of available rental sites, if provided.)

Original Phone provided: (727) 560-7228 (This number may be associated with an individual owner or a previous contact. It's recommended to prioritize the 352 area code number for general resort information.)

Mobile Phone: +1 727-560-7228 (Same as above, likely an individual contact.)

Email: info@chassaoaks.com (A good option for initial contact to the Condominium Association.)

It is advisable to clarify the rental process and availability directly when making contact.

Condo Ownership style campground with long term stays and no office. Contact must by via each owner. We stopped by to get information and discovered everything must be done by internet. As we approached, a sign told us we needed to unhook, because the park road is narrow and their parking lot is too small to turnaround. The few folks at the small pool seemed bothered that we were trying to get information. A sign on the building explained some detail but provided no list of available sites. We have found other similar style resorts more welcoming.
