We called a week before for a month stay, with lots of vehicles, they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Family owned, beautiful creek, great fishing, tons of little hide away places to read, or just sit. The cabins are super cute. This is a small campsite, very peaceful. All staff are super genuine, nice people. A lovely cat, that will come running to you, IF you have treats. The cheapest ice around. The river is within walking distance, as is the casino. The ABSOLUTE lowest rates, you won't find a better campsite. Thank you Barry and everyone that made this a ho.e away from home.
Aug 07, 2023 · Sandy ThomasIf you have a larger rig, this campground will be tight for you. We have a 41ft 5th wheel and it was tight in our spot which was one of the larger spots. Leaving is a little bit of a challenge for bigger rigs. I saw some of the larger rigs turning around and going in the wrong direction to go out so they didn't have to do the very tight turn to get out (it's a 1 way loop). While walking my leashed small and friendly dogs, 2 of the campground dogs who belong to a worker and were allowed to roam charged them and were extremely aggressive towards them. I was very concerned they were going to hurt my dogs. No one from the campground came out to deal with them and I was in front of the office and the house a manager/worker lives in. After a while they stopped and just walked off. If you have a spot on the creek/river, it's a pretty view. Campground is older and the trees are mature. It's a quiet setting. We did not use the bathhouse so I don't know the condition of it.
Nov 23, 2023 · L JohnsonThis is the best campground I have been at! My husband has been coming here since he was a little boy. Barry and Candace treat everyone like family! It’s peaceful and relaxing. They have bunkhouses, and cabins plus tent sites and RV sites. So if you want a perfect place to relax and enjoy this is the place you need to be!
Sep 03, 2023 · Denise ThigpenGreat location. Stayed in a cabin and it had a great view of the river. The issue was when we went to lay our heads down the first night and realized there was unfortunately a bed bug infestation in the cabin. Owner was nice enough to refund money spent for the cabin but not nice enough to reimburse for money spent on new suitcases and money spent at the laundromat.
Aug 06, 2023 · Julia MortonA small Jewel that has been my best kept secret of a vacation/camping spot for many years... but... I just couldn't keep myself from telling/talking about it to family, friends, coworkers & anyone having a vacation conversation with! The 1st two generation owners have been super friendly, accommodating & genuine - excited to get to know the 3rd!
