The geographical position of Idabel and, by extension, Cherokee Wild RV Resort, offers convenient access to significant regional attractions:
- Beavers Bend State Park & Broken Bow Lake: These highly popular destinations, known for their crystal-clear waters, towering pine forests, and abundant recreational activities (boating, fishing, hiking, kayaking), are approximately 10 minutes away. Customer Reviews
We stayed at Cherokee Wild RV Park for a week and had a pleasant experience. The park was very nice, clean, and quiet. Our spot was a pull-thru with all hookups, and there was a dog park that my pup loved! There is currently no laundry or bathhouse, but the website says there will be eventually. It’s a small park and the driveway was painfully bumpy with lots of holes, which was not fun to go down with a trailer. It’s also not wide enough for cars to pass each other in the driveway. We also didn’t speak to anyone and was told in the email to send a text to a phone number and let them know we’d arrive and they’d send us the WiFi password, but never heard a word back. We didn’t want or need the WiFi because we have starlink but there was no communication with the park. Despite these issues, it was a beautiful park, and I look forward to the additional modifications they plan to make! There’s not too much to do in the area, but it’s a nice and relaxing place to stop at.
Worse place I’ve stayed got a month stay ended up leaving after two weeks keeping in mind that they promote refunds for early checkouts takes them multiple days to get back with you and threaten to charge more for asking for a refund because nightly rate cost is more then monthly when that’s the whole point one gets monthly rate paying 500+ for no Landry room or splash pad they promote
We stay here because family lives in Idabel. Only complaints are it seems to need mowed on the site and at the turn in/ driveway every time. Also there is no light at turn in or at the sign.
The owner is very kind.b
