We really enjoyed our stay at Elkhorn Creek RV Park! The paved, level sites offer generous spacing, and several even back up to the scenic creek—an added bonus. Despite being late May, we were pleasantly surprised to have no issues with bugs. The facilities are exceptionally well maintained and clean. One small suggestion would be to add a bench or small seating area in the bathhouse for drying off or putting on shoes—just a minor improvement to an otherwise great setup. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating—thank you for making us feel welcome! We also loved the live music and fantastic food truck on Saturday night. It made for a fun and relaxing evening at the park. If you’re staying in the area, don’t miss the Buffalo Trace Distillery tour—it’s a must! My wife is not into bourbon, but with the historical aspects and really interesting old buildings, she thoroughly enjoyed it!
Jun 01, 2025 · Chad McKeeWe had a really enjoyable stay at Elkhorn Creek RV Park. The new concrete pads are a great upgrade—they’re level, clean, and make setting up so much easier, especially after a long travel day. It's clear the park is investing in improvements, and it shows. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly and helpful. From check-in to answering questions during our stay, they made us feel welcome and taken care of. You can tell they take pride in the campground and really care about the guest experience: great dog parks, one for small dogs and one for large dogs. The peaceful setting along the creek is a bonus, and the park is well-maintained and quiet—perfect for relaxing. Whether you’re just passing through or staying for a while, this is a solid choice. We’ll definitely be back!
Jun 06, 2025 · Chasin 70sLoved this location. Very neat and clean. The restrooms were great. The staff was very friendly. Sites were nice. We stayed on the creek side. Beautiful view. Close to Buffalo Trace. Hope to come back.
Jun 03, 2025 · Mary BuntingWe wanted a central location while making a short visit to some of the distilleries nearby. Elkhorn Creek RV park is perfectly located! And it is a great park! Brand new concrete pads along the creek with full hookups are not only long enough for big rigs but many are extra wide with plenty of space between sites. The park has all the amenities you would want. The staff we crossed paths with were always helpful and friendly. They take great pride in keeping the park clean and manicured. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return soon!
May 12, 2025 · Julie LawsonGreat place. Easy to get to. Quiet, plenty of room. Currently (March 2025) they are re-doing many of their pads and its going to be real nice. I actually wanted a fancy place to stay, because we been hitting State Parks hard, and this place tickled my fancy. Spot 84 is a large concrete pull in and it was what I was wanting. Thanks!
