Very close to the beach, of course, so that’s a plus. Allowed a late check in by leaving our info in the mailbox. You’re really packed in here, on top of one another, so we ended up feet from a family with a massive Great Dane/mastiff mix. We LOVE big dogs, but the owner immediately asked us to go inside or walk somewhere else so she could walk her dog who she said “isn’t friendly”. Why bring aggressive dogs? He barked at us all weekend. A previous reviewer mentioned sandpits everywhere so I proactively got our dog some booties. We didn’t need them. I appreciate that this campground has grass and didn’t notice sandspurs on our walks like we battled when staying in Cape Hattaras. It’s the middle of June and the pool closes at 6pm. That’s a bummer. The app that lists all of rules, updates, and activities (no activities while we were here) has extremely outdated info, most of which is dated 2021-2023. Says the pool is open until 7-8pm after Memorial Day, but I confirmed with front desk and they said 6pm. The pool was nice and clean and had fountains for young kids. Wi-Fi is listed as an amenity but it didn’t work for any of our phones in most areas, and we have different cell prices. There were one or two small pockets where we could connect, one of which was the pool. Last thing to mention, this place is expensive. I always struggle to accept when the cost is equal to or higher than a hotel.
Jun 08, 2025 · Dominique DeFrancisciThough our site was very close to our neighbors, we really had no problems with privacy. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the facilities (bathhouse, laundry room, etc) were all sparkly clean. This was our 1st trip in our RV, and we are glad we picked here to spend our anniversary trip! We hope to get down here again soon!
May 27, 2025 · Rhonda HaynesNice proximity to beach and fun activities like bike path and go carts. Pool wasn’t open when we were there but it looked nice. Sites are close together with no privacy but that’s about what you’d expect at a beach location. Rv sites are in rows in the middle with permanent mobile homes around the perimeter. It didn’t look junky though. The issue was with communication and customer service. I tried four or five times to call the property prior to our trip and ask questions but could never get through. It always rolled to the call center. I shortened our trip from three nights to two night prior to our arrival via the call center. Day of, I got a call stating their office closed at 4 and would we like our packet left. I said yes. I was a bit surprised to hear they were closing so early but no problem. Our car tag and bath key were left in the packet. He told us the gate code to get in was the last four of my phone number and then stated the number…which wasn’t mine. The next day, around 3 or so while we were at beach, I got a call asking why we hadn’t left yet since checkout was at noon. I said we weren’t leaving until the next day. She kept saying I was scheduled to leave that day. I said I don’t know what tell you but we had never planned to leave that day although we had shortened our trip. But even the car tag they had provided had the original date of a three night stay so the error must be on their end. She told me I was being aggressive. I was shocked. Not only was I not being aggressive, but the error was on their end and she was being rude. This was mid March and there were plenty of sites available so why not just offer to extend our stay. Just fix the issue and move on. Anyway after a very uncomfortable phone call, she said she’d charge us for one more day and we hung up. Shortly after, the manager called, I would’ve thought to apologize but basically to say they hadn’t made the mistake but the call center had. I didn’t care who had made it…to me it was all the same company. Later, we were unable to get in using our gate code because they apparently had not updated their system to reflect a two night stay. Fortunately the original guy had said the wrong code to start with and I remembered it, so we tried it and it worked. Also, we were charged a refundable $5 for the bathroom key, which did not work. We did return the key so I presume the five dollars was refunded but I never checked. All this to say, a little better customer service could’ve gone a long way.
Mar 23, 2025 · nancy 23The pull behind isn't really a pull behind because itit'only enough room for the camper. You have to park to the side and people are so close you have to move your vehicle for r someone else to pull out. You should really book 2 camp sites it's so tight. 1 for the camper and another for your truck. Also the wifi doesn't work. I wouldn't come back.
Jun 07, 2025 · Chantil BrownMy husband and I have been enjoying this RV park for over 20 years. Sadly it is under new management that has allowed sand spurs to dominate the grassy areas of most of the park. BEWARE these will prick bare feet and stick to your pets fur and embed into their paw pads to the point where you need scissors to remove them. If you are not familiar with these devils they stab and prick like rose thorns. We are so disappointed and will not return.
