Customer Reviews
Stayed here while we domicile in Texas, quiet, hardly any traffic, friendly staff and tenants
I renewed my Escapees membership (given a US Veterans discount...thank you!) on December 18, 2024. That membership is supposed to expire in February 2026. But Harvest Host just renewed my Escapees membership today, May 12, 2025 ... and CHARGED me for it. Therefore, Harvest Host appears grossly DISHONEST. I wrote to that business several times, but never received a reply. I am also a member of Boondockers Welcome which is supposed to charge me only $30 per year because I am grandfathered in forever at that price. But Harvest Host overcharged me. Plus, what I do NOT understand, Harvest Host gave me some sort of STUPID "credit," which I never requested and do NOT want. What's going on with Harvest Host? It appears that business is DISHONEST.
DO NOT USE THE MAIL SERVICE! Such a scam. You pay for a Florida address and then any mail that goes there they charge you a $1 to send it to Tx. So EVERY piece of junk mail you get at YOUR legal address you paid for costs you an extra $1. Which adds up. Then when THEIR scam runs your account negative they will cancel you even though you paid in full for a year. And of course you can’t add money on the app. The website is straight out of the 90s and doesn’t work worth a darn on a phone so you can’t there either. So you have to endlessly call (they don’t answer) to put money in. And now you’re stuck arguing with an ignorant woman about your account being cancelled. RUN AWAY from this pathetic company.
We have used this service since September 2024 and I am having serious doubts about this company. I am actively looking for an alternative. Why? THEY sent mail to an incorrect address twice then blamed it on a construction project 200 miles away. The mail forward notifications stopped and even after informing them 3 times I am still not receiving them. Escapees is not the first mail service that we have used, we NEVER had any issues with any of the other companies we dealt with ever. I have spent more money on mail in 4 months than in an entire year with other companies. I never received the military discount they advertise. I was told I had to be an escapees member to use the mail service but repeatedly asked if I am a member or just using the mail svc. At no time were we informed that they were being bought out, we only learned about it by word of mouth then after the deal we got an email. There is no mail pick up on Saturdays, there is no mail on any Holiday or hint of a holiday even when the Post Office is delivering. I am not even sure why i am giving them 2 stars. Any service they offer i can do myself in less time than I waste trying to stay on top of this mess. At this point I see this as just another scam to take advantage of full time RVrs.
Thank you Escapees! Yall are amazing for keeping my mail and forwarding it to us 5/28/25. Big hugs.
