For Minnesota residents looking for a straightforward, managed RV park or campground experience with a focus on ease of access and supportive management, Ferguson's Willow Creek offers a clear and functional choice. It serves as a testament to the diverse range of camping options available in our state, catering to specific needs beyond just rustic outdoor adventure.
Location and Accessibility
Ferguson's Willow Creek is strategically located in Rochester, MN 55902, USA. This address places it within the city limits of Rochester, one of Minnesota's major urban centers, renowned for its medical facilities, particularly the Mayo Clinic. The campground's explicit proximity to the highway, as noted in a review, means it offers exceptional accessibility for travelers. This is a significant advantage for Minnesota locals who need quick and easy access to Rochester's numerous amenities, including healthcare appointments, shopping, dining, and other city services. While the highway proximity might lead to some ambient noise, the trade-off is unparalleled convenience in reaching your destination and navigating around the city. This accessibility makes it an ideal spot for those passing through, visiting family, or needing a longer-term stay for work or medical reasons. The straightforward drive to the campground from major routes ensures a hassle-free arrival, allowing campers to quickly settle in and access everything Rochester has to offer.
Services Offered
- RV Hookups: The campground is equipped to accommodate RVs, providing essential hookups. While not explicitly detailed as electric, water, or sewer for all sites, the mention of "sewer is tall so hard to get your sewer line to run smoothly to it" strongly implies that sewer connections are available, along with electric and water, which are standard for RV parks.
- Long-term Stays: One reviewer mentioned staying for a month, indicating that the park accommodates extended stays. This is a crucial service for individuals or families needing a temporary base in Rochester for work, medical treatment, or other extended visits.
- On-site Management: The presence of a "manager of the park" who was described as "the nicest guy ever" suggests active on-site management. This is a valuable service, providing immediate assistance and a point of contact for campers' needs and concerns.
- Accommodating Management: The manager's accommodating nature was highlighted, indicating a willingness to assist campers and ensure their comfort during their stay. This level of service is a significant benefit for visitors.
- Basic Site Amenities: Although not explicitly listed, standard campground services like individual camping sites, and potentially picnic tables and fire rings, would be expected to be provided with each lot.
Features / Highlights
- Exceptional Management: The standout feature of Ferguson's Willow Creek is undoubtedly its management. Described as "the nicest guy ever" and "so welcoming and accommodating," the park manager and his wife create a highly positive and supportive environment for campers, significantly enhancing the overall experience. This personal touch is a rare and valuable asset.

Promotions or Special Offers
Given the nature of Ferguson's Willow Creek as an RV park and campground that appears to cater to both short-term and extended stays, it's less likely to offer traditional retail-style "promotions" or "special offers" like percentage discounts. Instead, their value proposition for Minnesota locals likely centers around competitive daily, weekly, and especially monthly rates, which can be seen as a form of long-term value. For those needing an extended stay in Rochester, a monthly rate would inherently be more economical than booking daily or weekly. The "accommodating" nature of the management also suggests a willingness to work with campers on their specific needs, which might translate into flexible booking options or assistance that could be considered a "special offer" in a service-oriented context. To inquire about specific rates for daily, weekly, or monthly stays, or to discuss any potential flexibility for unique circumstances, Minnesota locals should directly contact Ferguson's Willow Creek. A phone call to (507) 282-1414 would be the most effective way to speak with the manager or staff, who can provide the most current pricing information and discuss any arrangements that might suit your particular needs for a stay in Rochester.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals
Ferguson's Willow Creek is a highly suitable option for many Minnesota locals, particularly those seeking a practical, convenient, and accommodating place to stay in Rochester. Its primary advantage lies in its strategic location within the city, offering unparalleled accessibility to Rochester's urban amenities, including the world-renowned Mayo Clinic. It caters to a specific need for accessible, practical, and reliably managed camping or RV parking in an urban setting. For Minnesota residents who prioritize ease of access, the ability to settle in for an extended period, and a friendly, supportive atmosphere over deep wilderness immersion, Ferguson's Willow Creek stands out as a pragmatic and excellent choice for their Rochester needs.
Customer Reviews
I give this 5 stars based solely on the manager of the park. That was the nicest guy ever. Stayed for a month and he was so welcoming and accommodating. Pleasure meeting him and his wife.
Not much to this place. The highway runs right next to it, so it is quite noisy. Sewer is tall so hard to get your sewer line to run smoothly to it. It was a place to stay so we made the best of it, but I would not return.
Wonderful place to stay while I went through a stem cell transplant. The guys were very nice, trustworthy, helpful, and sincerely cared about my well being. I would definitely stay again. The campground was quiet and peaceful. Thank you Ferguson's willow creek. 😊
It is okay...Autumn Woods is much nicer if going to Mayo because of the shuttle service. Ferguson 's is just off Hwy 63 so convenient for driving into the city. The sites need to be improved with new gravel and grass areas seeded.
Definitely not what I expected. Bathrooms looked like they hadn't been used in weeks. Person working in office was great and refunded my money right away.
