Nestled in the historic town of Old Shawneetown, this park provides a straightforward and accommodating option for travelers and campers alike. While some RV parks focus on resort-style amenities, Fiedlerland embraces a more down-to-earth approach, emphasizing essential services and a friendly atmosphere that appeals to those who prioritize exploration and genuine hospitality. As one satisfied guest put it, it's "Still a diamond in the ruff but rapidly approaching 5 stars. Genuine friendship and hospitality abound at this camp site." This sentiment highlights the welcoming spirit that many visitors experience.

Fiedlerland RV Park & Campground is particularly well-suited for RVers looking for full hookups and an accommodating environment. It also serves as an excellent "accommodating base to jettison the trailer or camping gear for a few days while exploring the many natural and historical wonders offered within easy riding distances," as noted by another happy camper. This makes it an ideal spot for those who enjoy motorcycle touring, cycling, or simply taking scenic drives through the picturesque Southern Illinois landscape. The park’s commitment to providing a friendly and easy-going atmosphere, where new owners Josh Kee and Kayla Diesen continue the mission of creating "life-long, everlasting memories," ensures a comfortable and authentic stay for anyone looking to discover this beautiful part of our state. While a past review mentioned concerns regarding an abundance of dogs, it's worth noting that the park states "dogs are allowed, on a leash," indicating a policy for responsible pet ownership. It's always a good practice for visitors with pets to be mindful of their surroundings and confirm specific pet policies upon arrival.

  • Community-Focused Events: The park or nearby areas often host "special events," suggesting opportunities for engagement and entertainment within the local community.

While Fiedlerland RV Park & Campground may not consistently advertise "special offers" with discount codes, their pricing structure and approach offer inherent value and promotions for various types of stays.

  • Flexible Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Rates: The park offers transparent tiered pricing, with rates reported ranging from $10-$60 daily, $70-$350 weekly, and $150-$700 monthly. This flexibility allows visitors to choose the most cost-effective option for their planned duration, with longer stays typically offering a better per-night value. This tiered system can be seen as an ongoing "promotion" for extended visits.
  • Value-Added Inclusions: The rates generally include full hookups (electric, water, sewer) for RV sites, which means no hidden fees for these essential amenities. The provision of fire pits and picnic tables at each site, along with available firewood for sale, adds convenience and value.
  • Cash Preferred (Potential for Simplicity): While not a promotion, the preference for cash payments (as noted in some reviews) can sometimes streamline transactions for both parties. However, it's wise to be prepared with a check or cash, as credit card processing might not always be the primary option.

To inquire about the most current rates and any potential deals or specific availability for your desired dates, the best approach is to contact Fiedlerland RV Park & Campground directly. Owners are often open to discussing specific needs and can provide the most up-to-date information on any short-term incentives or group rates that might be available.

Positives: Full hook ups and only about 34 mins from Garden of the Gods and Cave in Rock, which were both awesome. Negatives: basically everything else. There was no welcome packet, no bathhouse or laundry that we saw, the dumpster on site is chained so I'm not even sure if we were supposed to use it. I expect more from a campground at $50 a night. The worst thing is there is a long term tennant who has 15 beagles (not exaggerating) and they are outside in a little fenced area and they bark constantly. When we arrived and I was walking my senior deaf dog, 2 of them jumped the fence and rushed at us barking aggressively. I picked up my dog because she doesn't even hear them approaching and they are clawing up my legs trying to get at her. This is obviously not the owner of the campgrounds fault, however I wish I would have known before we decided to stay here. Would not recommend this camp.

Still a diamond in the ruff but rapidly approaching 5 stars. Genuine friendship and hospitality abound at this camp site. Great for RVs looking for hookups and perfect for camping bikers looking for an accommodating base to jettison the trailer or camping gear for a few days while exploring the many natural and historical wonders offered within easy riding distances. The roads and scenery in the area are amazing and this is the best place to rest weary bones whether you’re just passing through for one night or making it a destination for one of the many special events held at the campground or nearby.

For this many stars you might expect a high end RV Resort. But it's the opposite and that what makes it awesome. Was trailering my boat and needed a place to stop for a couple days and Tim the owner was completely accommodating and super helpful, doing whatever it took to make my stay comfortable.

This was our first visit to Fiedlerland, and we were NOT disappointed. My mom and I decided on a last minute roadtrip to view the eclipse. We were pleasantly surprised at this little slice of heaven! If you're looking for a chill spot to unwind, THIS is the place to go. It was nice and quiet and noticeably clean. The scenery was beautiful. There is a shower/bathroom pod that was clean and well-lit. Each site appeared to have water and electric which was a huge perk. The hosts were great. Very friendly and accommodating. My mom even got a golf cart tour from a cute little worker! Will definitely be back!!

We loved our 3 night stay in the camp ground! We met the last owner Tim and the new owners John and Kayla! Everyone was very welcoming, our first night we rode in late from Alabama and ran to grab dinner only to return to our campfire completely set up and lit for us and a nice welcome bucket with some things to make camping a breeze! It’s such a nice campground for such a rediculously cheap price! We had hot showers and some of the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever been in while camping and we’ve been all over the U.s, they also have firewood for sale on site for your convenience! Can’t wait to bring our parents back in the fall! Thank you guys, for everything!
