Pea gavels on sites most are level. Some will fit a small Rv 25-30 ft. No dump station. 20/30/50 amp At electric sites. 10$ a night. No reservations first come first serve. Vaulted toilets which where very clean. The campground was clean and rangers came by a couple times. Pounds Hollow lake is right down the road 1/4 of a mile.
Beautiful spot. Campgrounds are well maintained and campsites are spaced well enough apart. Went during the week and we had the whole place to ourselves. There's water available at the entrance, no restrooms or shower facilities but it's a great tent camping site if that's your thing. The scenery is just amazing. You have to see the lake!
Large camp sites, good distance between each site. Good lake, nice facilities at the lake with beach area. Some Trails along lake not well maintained, lots poison Ivy all around!
Quiet and pitch black on a weeknight. Lots of animals stopped by our campsite when the fire was out. We prefer this to other sites in Garden of the Gods. The fire rings and really frustrating though, bring your own setup. Don't buy wood at the outpost, either, it's always wet!
Love Pounds Hollow and Pine Ridge Campground. My son and I have been camping in Southern Illinois for 8 years now. This is always a must hit campground for us. It has great facilities and the beach is a perk. Also your within 15-20 minutes of Garden of The Gods.
