This article will delve into the details that make Flying Dutchman RV Resort an excellent option for your next RV adventure in Texas. We’ll explore its strategic location, the comprehensive services and amenities it offers, its standout features, and why it’s particularly suitable for local Texans looking for quality RV accommodations.
Flying Dutchman RV Resort is conveniently located at 2356 FM 66, Waxahachie, TX 75167, USA. This address places the park strategically in Waxahachie, a charming city known for its historic downtown and proximity to the expansive Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The park's location offers a desirable balance: it's far enough from the immediate urban bustle to provide a quiet setting, yet close enough to major highways and attractions for easy access.
While the park itself is relatively quiet, a key point of accessibility mentioned by previous guests is the traffic at the main roads' 4-way stop when returning to the freeway or Waxahachie proper. During typical morning rush hours or busy times like the Renaissance Festival, this stop can add 5-20 minutes to your travel time. However, this minor inconvenience is often outweighed by the overall tranquility of the park once you arrive.
Despite the occasional traffic, the park's location in Waxahachie offers excellent connectivity to the broader North Texas region. You are within easy driving distance of Dallas (approximately 30 miles), Fort Worth, Arlington (home to AT&T Stadium and Six Flags Over Texas), and numerous other attractions, employment centers, and medical facilities. This makes Flying Dutchman RV Resort an ideal base for those working in the DFW area, visiting family, or exploring the many sights and sounds of our great state. The easy pull-through sites also ensure that even the largest RVs can navigate the park with minimal effort.

Customer Reviews
This was a really nice RV Park. We were here for work. Pros: Gated.Easy pull through sites. Level, paved sites. Lots of room for your rv, two cars side by side and not too close to the next site. Roomy. Quiet park. Lovely manager. Wonderful laundry room with 4 sets of washer/dryer for coin operated and 4 sets for electronic/card payment. Cons: Traffic at the main roads 4 way stop. 15-20 min on typical morning. During the Renaissance time....Stuck in traffic for nearly two hours just to get back to rv during Renaissance festival. Great park!
Flying Dutchman RV Resort Waxahachie Wonderful 5-day stay. Friendly host, clean bathroom and laundry (coins and credit card.) Paved roads and sites, very roomy and long. Evidence of ants but I saw none. Landscape is weeds and small trees. No pool or playground. A few miles off the freeway, fairly quiet except from adjacent commercial/industrial buildings. When driving back to the freeway and to Waxahachie you'll have to pass through a 4-way stop sign that takes 5-10 minutes to pass during rush-hour and other busy times of day. Good ATT 5-G service. They accepted my Passport America for two nights.
The park was very clean. The shower/bath house was safe and secure. The laundry room had ample washers and dryers. The location was perfect. It was very close to the interstate.
So thankful you were able to be so accommodating with us having to change reservations two times due to storm and then mechanical issues. The resort is VERY simple to maneuver and perfect for people like us who are 68ft long. Will definitely return when we are in the area, again.
It is a good RV Park, but it lacks any shade. With the amazing concrete pads, it makes trailers very hot. The sewer connection is quite high, making dumping tanks a bit of a pain. They have plans to add covered sites. When they do this, RV Park will be quite pleasant. Onsite management is quite friendly and approachable. Overall, we did enjoy our time there, but the lack of shade was a turn off.
