As a part of Cheney State Park's West Shore area, Harding Hill Campground is integrated into a larger network of park facilities. While it is a dedicated tent camping area, it benefits from being close to the park's broader amenities. Visitors can find Harding Hill near a small swimming beach, which is a significant draw, especially during the warmer months. The park itself is well-signed, guiding visitors efficiently to their chosen camping area. However, as it is primarily a tent-only area, campers should be aware of the specific parking policies, as vehicles are not permitted on the grass within the camping area, requiring parking alongside designated roads.
Tent-Only Camping: Harding Hill Campground is exclusively designated for tent camping. This ensures a consistent and peaceful atmosphere for those who prefer this traditional style of outdoor lodging. It creates a community feel among tent campers, distinct from areas accommodating larger RVs.
Non Site-Specific Reservations: When reserving a spot at Harding Hill, it is not site-specific. Instead, you will be assigned a site upon arrival at the campground. This provides flexibility for park management and ensures efficient use of the available tent sites.

Customer Reviews
We camped here on our cross country trip from Michigan to Albuquerque. We were the only people in the Harding Hill campground which is tent camping only. Vehicles are not allowed on the grass. We were not sure if you park alongside the road? The wind blew all night long, I’m not sure if that was because of hurricane Ian? This is supposed to be the best sailing like in the US.
