This isn’t just a place to park your RV; it’s a beautifully maintained, family-focused basecamp for exploring the Allegheny National Forest and the vibrant surrounding area. The campground is well-known throughout the region for its spacious, level sites, its "Big Rig Friendly" accommodation, and, most notably, the genuine, heartfelt hospitality of its owners, Jack and Debbie.
The core philosophy of High Pines is evident in the glowing customer reviews: it’s an immaculate, peaceful, and relaxing environment where the owners go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome. One reviewer perfectly captured this spirit, noting that the hosts "are THE BEST hosts and brighten your day," and that it’s a place where you "just don't experience too many campgrounds like this anymore." Whether you are a full-time RVer, a family with "kids who can be a lot at times," or a local looking for an affordable and nature-filled retreat, High Pines RV Park provides a high-quality camping experience year-round. It skillfully balances the quiet peace of the forest with convenient, modern amenities, making it a favorite for both families and couples across the Commonwealth.

High Pines RV Park is a uniquely suitable destination for Pennsylvania residents for several compelling reasons. First and foremost, it offers unparalleled access to one of the state's greatest natural treasures: the Allegheny National Forest. For those living in the more developed parts of the Commonwealth, this campground is a convenient drive and an immediate plunge into a vast, protected wilderness.
Crucially, the park’s environment aligns perfectly with the values of a genuine Pennsylvania getaway. The atmosphere is described as "truly peaceful," allowing for a complete disconnect and relaxation that is hard to find in larger, more commercial camping operations. The celebrated kindness and attentiveness of the hosts, Jack and Debbie, ensure that Pennsylvanian families, accustomed to strong community values, will feel warmly welcomed and looked after. This personal touch is the reason many local reviewers call it their "favorite campground" and insist they would "definitely stay there again."
Moreover, the combination of Big Rig-friendly facilities, year-round operation, and direct links to local recreational treasures like the Knox & Kane Rail Trail makes High Pines a flexible and affordable option for an extended stay or a quick, well-deserved weekend retreat. It’s an immaculate, well-run, and genuinely friendly home away from home in the heart of the beautiful Pennsylvania Wilds.
This campground was so nice and peaceful. The colors of fall were really beautiful there! We camp with our 2 kids and 2 dogs and we all enjoyed our time there. There was a lot of space for dog walking, and the kids loved the barrel ride and wagon ride looking for Sasquatch! The owners, Jack and Debbie, were such genuine, kind people. From interacting with them, it was clear that they truly loved owning the campground and were having fun with it. Debbie was so kind to my kids who can be a lot at times. She came around several times while we were there to check on us and see if we needed anything. My kids said this was their favorite campground! It's a great place to just enjoy the beauty of nature and relax! We would definitely stay there again and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice campground to stay at!
Sep 21, 2025 · Morgan KaminskiJack and Debbie are THE BEST hosts and brighten your day. The campgrounds are immaculate and well maintained. Close to the bike trails and attractions. An affordable stay and we even extended it an extra day. You just dont experience too many campgrounds like this anymore. Bonus, a lot of property to walk our dog and just enjoy nature. Truly peaceful.
Sep 20, 2025 · Elaine GrievesThis is a beautiful RV park set in the trees, with well-spaced, grassy sites. The owners, Debbie and Jack are so welcoming and friendly! Lovely bathrooms, a gameroom, playground near the back of the park, and rental cabins. They're doing everything right! Highly recommend!
Sep 13, 2025 · Lynn JeffersGreat location for us! We have family close by! Owners are wonderful! Very caring, have made many improvements to the RV park! Very clean and maintained, laundry room is air conditioned! We had a nice long pull through site, full hook up. Close to downtown, Kane, PA, not too far from Bradford, PA. Kane Golf course, very close! Would definitely stay again!
Jul 13, 2025 · Susan WI do not typically leave negative reviews but felt that this one was important. Let's start with the positives: The owners were extremely friendly and pleasant when booking, it is extremely easy to check in and check out, and it is a very peaceful and non-crowded RV park. If you are looking to rest and relax in silence, this is definitely your place! We reserved several campsites beside each other for a family reunion. We were reminded of the campground rules (there are MANY) more than once. At one point, we were simply talking around our campfire and approached by the owner who reminded us that 10:00 p.m. is quiet hours. We were also asked at that point to shut off our music. Being that this was a large group, you might think the volume would be too much by default, but we were simply talking around the campfire with music at a low volume. On their behalf, they had provided us with an alternative location for our campfire that was away from others camping. We had not made it to that location yet. One of my 30 year old relatives and his family had brought their own golf cart. As he was driving it, the owner commented that golf carts are to be ridden by the elderly only! Another relative rented a cabin. It was cute but the beds were horrifically uncomfortable and she would have appreciated an air conditioner as it was unbearably hot. Overall, we felt as though we were being monitored 24/7 due to our large group. Again, a wonderful place to visit if you are wanting complete silence and relaxation, just not a place for large groups.
