Based on the provided customer reviews, Highland Park Mobile Home Community offers a range of services common to mobile home parks, though there are varying opinions on their current execution.
-
Property Maintenance: Historically, the park has had a maintenance man who "kept up the property," including being "out in the rain getting his residents in the shelter" during storms and ensuring "strays were picked up." This suggests a commitment to overall property upkeep and resident safety. However, a recent review indicates a decline in this service, with concerns that the "new maintenance man doesn’t know crap" and issues with things not being fixed. This highlights a past service that may currently be facing challenges.
-
Storm Shelter Access: The mention of the maintenance man guiding residents to "the shelter" during storms indicates that the community provides access to a designated storm shelter, which is a crucial safety service in Oklahoma, a state prone to severe weather.
-
Police Presence (Mixed Review): One review mentions police being "over here at least 3 times a week with the canines." While indicating a response to security concerns, for some residents, this may suggest a less safe environment than desired. For others, it might be seen as a positive sign of active law enforcement.
-
Grass Cutting Services (for specific residents): One positive review explicitly states, "They provide services like grass cutting for older residents." This is a valuable service that demonstrates an effort to support specific demographics within the community, making living easier for elderly residents.
-

However, another states, "Management here doesn’t care about anything but getting a sell!" and "a manager that doesn’t care," indicating a conflicting perception of responsiveness.
-
Lot Rentals: As a mobile home community, the core service involves providing land or lots for residents to place their manufactured homes. The "money this place charges" implies regular lot rent fees.
Highland Park Mobile Home Community offers several features and highlights that distinguish it, though some points are subject to varying resident experiences. Understanding these aspects helps potential residents gauge what to expect.
-

The previous maintenance man's proactive efforts in guiding residents to the shelter during storms highlight the importance placed on resident safety, even if recent management changes have introduced new concerns.

This support can greatly enhance the quality of life for elderly community members, reducing their burden of outdoor maintenance and allowing them to enjoy their homes more comfortably.

The reviews focus on the general experience of living in the community, including aspects of management, maintenance, and resident interactions.
The phrase "Management here doesn’t care about anything but getting a sell!" from one review suggests that the park's primary focus might be on attracting new residents and filling available lots or selling homes. While this isn't a direct "promotion," it implies that there may be an active sales or leasing team focused on new occupancy.
Mobile home communities typically structure their offerings around:
-
Lot Rental Rates: The monthly fee for leasing the land where a manufactured home is placed. These rates are usually competitive within the local market for affordable housing.
-
Home Sales: If the park has homes available for sale, either new or pre-owned, they might offer competitive pricing for these units. Financing options are usually facilitated through third-party lenders.
While no specific discounts are mentioned, the "money this place charges" implies regular fees associated with living in the community. To ascertain the most accurate and current information on lot availability, current monthly rental rates, any specific homes for sale, or any potential incentives they might be offering to new residents, it is highly recommended to contact Highland Park Mobile Home Community directly. Mobile home living often provides a more budget-friendly entry point into owning a home compared to traditional stick-built houses or continuous apartment rentals. This allows residents to build equity and establish stability in a cost-effective manner.
The presence of a storm shelter is a vital safety feature, particularly relevant in Oklahoma's unpredictable weather patterns. For locals, knowing there's a designated safe place during severe storms provides peace of mind, a significant consideration when choosing a residence in the state.
Furthermore, the provision of grass cutting services for older residents demonstrates a commitment to supporting specific demographics within the community. This kind of thoughtful service can greatly enhance the quality of life for elderly Oklahomans, allowing them to age in place comfortably without the burden of strenuous yard work.

For locals looking to settle into a ready-made community, this can be appealing.
In conclusion, Highland Park Mobile Home Community offers Oklahoma locals an accessible and potentially affordable living solution within Oklahoma City. Its prime location, essential safety features, and specific resident support services make it a viable option for those seeking a community-oriented living experience in the metro area.
Customer Reviews
I’ve lived here going on 3 years. The maintenance man we had kept up the property, any time the storms came through he was out in the rain getting his residents in the shelter, made sure strays were picked up, and the property was nice.He was fired while on call due to health issues that landed him in icu! Sorry but that’s wrongful termination! Management here doesn’t care about anything but getting a sell! Since Duran has been gone police are over here at least 3 times a week with the canines! My car was broken into and homes less are back messing with your property! If you need something fixed good luck! The new maintenance man doesn’t know crap and and all he does is sit in the truck! There needs to be major changes! I use to love being here and felt safe but at this point all of it changed since Mr. Duran is gone! Wouldn’t recommend unless you don’t mind fixing things yourself , having people mess with your cars and and your home! If you’re spending the money this place charges you would want to live in a nice community and not just have any kind of neighbors and a manager that doesn’t care!
I have lived in this community for about 4 years. Staff is responsive on any issues we come across. Location is perfect(close to everything) . They provide services like grass cutting for older residents. Have not had a problem. Would recommend.
Great place to live! Management is AWSOME! Lyndsay is very good about getting things fixed quickly! Very quiet & peaceful community! Durran the maintenance man is excellent!! This man does way more than just maintenance hes security too! He also watches the community children to make sure they get on/off bus! He spends time with the troubled boys & teaches them how to mow lawns, & ways to be productive to help them stay out of trouble!
I currently live here and I love it the manager is completely understanding and super sweet the maintenance man is on point when you need something done and the property is highly kept up to par completely recommend
They will shut off the water all the time with absolutely no notice.
