Our stay at HTR in the Adirondacks was an incredible tent camping experience. We were so impressed with the campground that we ended up extending our stay for an additional two nights. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful, and we were pleased to find that the campsites were impeccably clean and well-maintained. The bath house facilities were a standout—very clean and surprisingly spacious. We also appreciated how pet-friendly the campground is, which made our trip even more enjoyable. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, and the entire atmosphere is fantastic. We honestly have nothing negative to say about our stay and would highly recommend HTR to anyone looking for a wonderful camping trip.
Aug 24, 2025 · Allison StanleyWe camped here for the first time Labor Day weekend and we loved it. It was quiet and our site backed right up to the playground which was awesome for our kids. The grounds were well kept with a beautiful view of Moose River. It was a short drive into town, the staff was so friendly, the camp store was so cute and had everything you’d need. We definitely will be booking again.
Sep 02, 2025 · Jessica DeYoungMy wife and I stayed at the HTR Camp Ground and Cabins in our travel camper to visit one of my college friends and his lovely wife.. Tammy and Cindy at the front desk and reservations treat you like Family. They send you out with all your campsite info and field all your calls/ questions. Dicky and Aron assist the campers with their issues and maintain the camp ground immaculately. They are always working around the campsites and ready to help you in moments notice. The Adirondack Old Forge area is gorgeous and the town has great restaurants, shops and a great Adirondack feel. The Moose River views from our campsite were stunning. We really enjoyed our stay and will be booking a campsite again next year for this same week!
Aug 08, 2025 · Brian GarrettThis campground was a great location close to Old Forge and Water Safari. We camped here with our two girls and they had a great time. It's a small campground with lovely facilities. The newly renovated bathhouse was perfect as we did not opt for the full hookup site this time. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful! They assisted in getting our camper situated upon arrival and checked in with us numerous times during our stay to see how we were doing. We were able to purchase tickets for water safari right at the office as well as the few items that we forgot at home. :) The campground itself is clean and well kept and guests are very friendly! A wonderful experience! We have already booked to come back!
Jul 31, 2025 · Meredith HerrmannVery quiet little place! Even though its off the highway, you can barely hear any traffic. The view in the morning is absolutely breathtaking from the water! Although the price isn't expensive AT ALL, the stay is worth every penny! My next trip is just days away!
