Our first time here was good. The site we had was very spacious-plenty of activities-friendly staff-well maintained grounds-the only thing I can see is that the sites need to be labeled better but other than that it’s a great place. The Fourth of July fire works were nice. The only complaint there is that my daughter lit off a ground fountain and they said that u weren’t allowed to do so, but it didn’t specify any where that u couldn’t that I could see.
Jul 06, 2025 · Andrea GuntherBeing an experienced camper, I was truly impressed with this well run campground. Owners are a lovely, kind, and hard working family. I rented one of the newly purchased campers that were available. It was clean and well maintained. So many activities for all ages from Bingo to a 4th of July parade that the children could participate in with decorated bicycles. There’s a large playground and access to an inlet stream from the river for fishing, kayaking or just cooling off. The 4th of July fireworks were breathtaking! To sum it up, I highly recommend this campground and will definitely be back!
Jul 06, 2025 · RobynAwesome campground. Only issue is have is I use a wheelchair and the showers dont allow all sizes of wheelchair but smaller ones fit just fine. Staff was great and you can rent kayaks also and good fishing
Aug 17, 2025 · Justin BenfieldTent camped for a weekend kayak tournament. Thursday night was relaxing, Friday not so much. The permanent camper behind me stayed up til midnight and was loud, the air raid siren went off at 2am. Decided to skip final night and went home.
Aug 15, 2025 · Gman AdventurerWhat a great way to spend a weekend, My family stayed on site A2 with a tent for 2 nights. The staff was great responding to any issues we had. They even upgraded our site for free due to low occupancy on the better site (This was opening weekend for them). My kids loved the play ground as well as the nightly hayride. Being so close to the water was great as the kids explored the beach area where my son skipped stones and my daughter found a toad friend. They also loved riding their bikes abound the campground. We stopped at this campground to spend a day at Knobles; And for the price difference and size of site you get at Indian head, it makes me wonder why anyone would stay on site while this campground is only 15 mins away. Not sure when we will make our way back up to Knobles, but when we do we will stay here again.
