Promotions or Special Offers

As a state park campground managed by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Indian Lake State Park Campground typically operates on a reservation system with standardized rates. While it may not offer commercial "promotions" in the same way a private business might, there are aspects to consider for potential value and planning.

  • Advance Booking Benefits: Reservations for Ohio State Park campgrounds can typically be made up to six months in advance. Booking early, especially for premium or full hook-up sites and during peak seasons (summer, holidays like Memorial Day), is crucial to secure your desired spot. While not a discount, it guarantees availability and avoids disappointment.
  • Off-Peak Season Rates: During the "Off-Peak Season: From November 1 to April 1," some services may be limited (e.g., water available by water tower and dump station), but rates might be slightly lower. This offers a more tranquil experience for those who prefer cooler weather camping.
  • Friends Group Initiatives: The "friends that raise money to do projects" might occasionally offer specific events or fundraising drives that could include unique experiences or opportunities within the park. Monitoring their activities (if publicly available) could reveal additional benefits.
  • Seasonal Programs and Events: While not discounts, the "seasonal naturalist programs" and "Memorial day activities" are included as part of the park experience for registered campers, adding significant value without extra cost. Events like "Kids Fishing Derby" and "Art on the Beach" are examples of these value-added activities.

For the most accurate information on current rates, reservation policies, and any specific events or programs, prospective campers should refer to the official Ohio Department of Natural Resources website for Indian Lake State Park Campground or contact the park directly.

We went camping there last year. It's a big park. We took our little bass boat out for the first time. The kids had a lot of fun there. We are definately going back. The park could definately be better if the state of Ohio would invest more money in the state parks. As it is, the park has friends that raise money to do projects--like a mini golf course.

I have been camping at Indian Lake since 1976 and still think it's nice. We stayed there the week of May 12th. The park is well maintained. Restrooms were always clean even over a busy weekend. No complaints at all.
