Introduction / Overview
For many Maine residents, finding a quiet, family-oriented community that balances affordability with proximity to major employment and service hubs is a top priority. Kenduskeag Estates, situated in the small, charming town of Kenduskeag, seeks to fill this need by providing a neighborhood atmosphere within a mobile and manufactured home park setting. This type of housing offers an important option in the local market, catering to individuals and families who desire a sense of community outside of the more dense urban areas like Bangor, yet still require easy access to regional amenities.
The core identity of Kenduskeag Estates, as reflected by residents, centers around its friendly, neighborly environment. It is often described as a “great little community” with quiet, friendly neighbors and a family-oriented focus. While the park primarily consists of spaces for manufactured and mobile homes, it functions as a traditional subdivision where residents can settle in and establish roots. The appeal of Kenduskeag Estates lies in the potential for an accessible, settled lifestyle just minutes from the larger Penobscot County population centers, offering a vital and often more affordable alternative to traditional stick-built homeownership or apartment rentals in the immediate Bangor area.
Location and Accessibility
Kenduskeag Estates is located at 46 maple lane, Kenduskeag, ME 04450, USA. Kenduskeag itself is a small town in Penobscot County, a short, convenient drive northwest of Bangor. This strategic location is key to the park's appeal for local users. Residents enjoy the peace and slower pace of small-town Maine life while retaining quick access to all the necessary services and employment opportunities of a major city.
The park's proximity to major roadways, including being a short distance from major routes leading directly into Bangor, ensures excellent accessibility. A drive into the Bangor area, which hosts institutions like Husson University, major medical facilities (St. Joseph Hospital, Northern Light Health), and significant shopping centers (like Broadway Shopping Center and Airport Mall), is typically brief. This balance—the tranquility of living in Kenduskeag paired with the convenience of Bangor's infrastructure—makes the Estates highly practical for working families, students, and retired locals who need to stay connected to the region's core services. The car-dependent nature of the area reinforces the importance of this swift, easy drive to the city.

Great little community. Quiet, friendly neighbors. Family oriented. The landlord however has no compassion for families in crisis due to illness and job loss. He refuses to accept general or rental assistance. Which is discrimination. He rents trailers at top dollar with leaky pipes, black mold, and holes in the floor. Newest development is full bloom mushroom growth on the backside of shower wall in the bedroom! But Then he still evicts you for "no cause" when you complain. Mind you this trailer is $1575 with nothing included...to get mold poisoning....$1575 for breathing black mold, having chronic vomiting and migraines beginning the week me moved in. The rich get richer while sucking from the poor. And bugs, mice and slugs inside the house.
