Lake City RV Resort About
Hello, fellow Floridians and RV enthusiasts! Finding the perfect RV park that balances convenience, comfort, and a touch of recreation can make all the difference on your travels. Today, we're pulling into Lake City RV Resort, a highly-regarded destination in North Florida that aims to provide a more comprehensive experience than just a place to park.
In our Sunshine State, RV parks range from basic overnight stops to full-fledged resorts designed for extended stays and family fun. Lake City RV Resort appears to lean towards the latter, offering a variety of amenities and a well-maintained environment that has impressed many of its guests. While some aspects, like site width, have been noted, the overall impression is one of a clean, attractive, and amenity-rich stop.
This article will provide you with a clear, engaging, and factual overview of Lake City RV Resort. We'll delve into its strategic location and accessibility, outline the extensive services and features that cater to RV travelers, and provide essential contact information. Our aim is to equip you with the insights you need to discover if Lake City RV Resort is the ideal spot for your next Florida adventure, whether it's a quick overnight stop or a longer stay to explore the surrounding area.
Lake City RV Resort is conveniently located at 3864 US-441, Lake City, FL 32055, USA. This prime address places it directly on US-441, a major highway, and crucially, very close to the intersection of Interstate 75 and Interstate 10. Lake City itself is often referred to as the "Gateway to Florida" due to its strategic position at these major interstate crossroads, making it an incredibly accessible hub for travelers moving throughout the state or across the southeastern United States.
The resort's direct proximity to the highway means easy entry and exit, which is a significant advantage for those needing a quick overnight stop. While some reviewers noted "loud traffic noise" from I-10, others candidly stated they "did not have an issue with this," understanding that a location right by the highway inherently comes with some road noise. This trade-off often means unparalleled convenience. Beyond its immediate accessibility, Lake City offers a full range of services, including diverse dining options, shopping centers, and essential amenities. Furthermore, the area is rich in natural attractions, with numerous clear freshwater springs and state parks (like Ichetucknee Springs and O'Leno State Park) just a short drive away, providing ample opportunities for outdoor recreation for those planning a longer stay.
Lake City RV Resort provides a comprehensive range of services designed to make your RV stay as comfortable and convenient as possible.
- Full Hookup RV Sites: The resort offers 40 shady and sunny pull-through sites, all with full hookups (water, electric, and sewer) including 30-amp and 50-amp service. Many sites also feature large concrete patios.
- Complimentary Connectivity: Free cable TV and Wi-Fi are provided for guests, ensuring you can stay entertained and connected during your stay.
- Clean Restrooms and Showers: Public information states that restrooms with full showers are "always clean," although one reviewer did not personally visit them.
- 24-Hour Laundry Facilities: Well-maintained guest laundry facilities are open 24 hours daily, offering convenience for all travelers.
- Self-Check-in: An easy after-hours self-check-in process is available, providing flexibility for late arrivals.
- Camp Store: A store is available for quick purchases of essentials, snacks, and camping supplies.
- Propane and RV Storage: LP Gas is available on-site, and storage for boats or cargo trailers may be approved by management with an additional fee.
- Complimentary Morning Coffee: A thoughtful touch to start your day.

Lake City RV Resort stands out for its attractive features and well-maintained amenities, creating a pleasant and engaging environment for guests:
- Beautiful Resort with Attractive Landscaping: Reviewers frequently praise the "beautiful resort with interesting and attractive landscaping." The property is described as 24 beautifully manicured acres with moss-draped oaks, magnolias, pines, and numerous flowering plants, enhancing the visual appeal and creating a pleasant atmosphere.
- Excellent Pool Area: The "pool was excellent," according to a reviewer, indicating a well-maintained and enjoyable swimming facility. Public data confirms a sparkling swimming pool.
- Well-Equipped Community/Game Room: The community room (also referred to as a recreation hall or clubhouse) is a major highlight, featuring "many game tables and entertainment options." Reviewers specifically mention it is "well equipped," with amenities like a pool table, foosball, shuffleboard (indoor and outdoor), and a big-screen TV with theater seating. A commercial kitchen is also available.
- Fishing Pond with Gazebo: Guests "loved the fishing pond and the gazebo." The pond is stocked, providing a relaxing activity, particularly for younger guests, and the gazebo offers a scenic spot to unwind.
- Spacious but Narrow Sites: While sites are generally "spacious and quite level," one reviewer noted that "the spaces in our row were very narrow." This led to a large 40' Class A needing to unhook its towed SUV to exit the pull-through space. However, other information suggests many "long pull thru sites" accommodating RVs up to 70' long. This indicates variability in site width and the need for larger rigs to be mindful of specific site assignments.
- Attention to Detail: One reviewer particularly admired the "level of detail for each part of the park from the fishing pond all the way through the pool and game room," indicating a commitment to quality and aesthetics across the resort.
- Friendly Check-in Staff: The "Check in people are very nice," contributing to a positive first impression and overall welcoming atmosphere.
- Nature Trail & Playground: The resort also offers a nature trail and a playground, adding more outdoor activity options for guests.
- Coming Soon Amenities: The website mentions a "Coming soon – Heated Salt Water Pool" and "Coming soon – Gas fire pit common area," indicating ongoing improvements.
Lake City RV Resort offers several special rates and discounts to make your stay even more appealing:
- Good Sam Discount: Members of Good Sam Club can enjoy a 10% discount on daily rates. A valid Good Sam ID must be presented at check-in.
- Veterans Discount: All active duty and military veterans receive a 10% discount on daily rates. A valid Military ID must be presented at check-in.
- Extended Stay Discounts: The resort provides significantly discounted weekly and monthly rates for RV sites, with monthly rates discounted about 50% off the regular nightly rate. They particularly encourage "Winter Snowbird" discounts for guests staying from January to March.
Please note that only one discount or coupon may be used per visit, and discounts are typically for daily rates only, not available on holiday weekends. It's always best to check their official website or call directly for the most current rate schedule and to confirm any special offers.

Customer Reviews
Beautiful resort with interesting and attractive landscaping. Loved the fishing pond and the gazebo. The community room has many game tables and entertainment options. After hours self- checkin was easy.. i didn't visit their bathrooms, laundry, or use their Wifi so I can't speak for those. The only downside I noticed was that the spaces in our row were very narrow. The space was quite level though. We were initially unsure if we would be able to open our slide fully. All-in-all, it was a great place to stay for the night directly by the highway. We stayed in 40' Class A towing SUV. We did have to unhook to exit our pull-through space due to narrow roads and narrow spaces.
This was a Hidden Gem we stopped for one night and absolutely love this RV park. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. pool was excellent, the game room was well equipped and what was also very interesting was the level of detail for each part of the park from the fishing pond all the way through the pool and game room. I found other reviews were concerned about the noise from I-10 I candidly did not have an issue with this, but I guess I looked at ahead of time and knew I was going to be next to the highway and expected some road noise level so maybe they did not read or understand where they were on the map . Check in people are very nice and I highly recommend it we will be back.
This park is amazing. Sites are pull thru and full hookup including cable. We have a 35 ft rig and had ample space for our rig and our 8ft bed truck without unhooking. The grounds and the club house are well maintained. I used the club house which was clean and took an actual hot shower. The price is reasonable. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this RV Resort. You wont be disappointed.
It is a hard pass for future stays. Saying it's a resort is a stretch. Just enough space for slides on the driver side. The main side, once the stairs were down, only 4 feet left on the concrete pad. That was your boundary. Management definitely needs hospitality training, or at least the one we dealt with. She was on the attack from the time we pulled up and didn't let up. If it had not been paid in advance and from the behavior of this "lady" a refund would have been an act of war. It appeared to cater long term campers, but because we were staying one night shouldn't have been an issue. This behavior was caused by me pulling up 30 feet furtherat the office than she thought I should, (no signage), so my wife could get out of the driveway. This caused an absolute meltdown. Could say more you get the point.
“Resort” only in the owner's wildest dreams, this place is a far cry. The property sits next to I10 so truck noise all night. Enter property on a muddy pitted out narrow driveway, impossible for two way traffic to pass. Crawl through the enormous potholes or lose an axle. Only a few sites are surrounded by trees. Sites are an unlevel thin layer of gravel over soil and grass. The rotting picnic table sits on a small broken up concrete pad. The only “resort” feature is a very small outdoor pool it was not heated. Reception was nice but there are better parks in the vicinity.
