Promotions or Special Offers

As a county-operated facility managed by the Fairfax County Park Authority, Lake Fairfax Park Campground does not typically offer traditional commercial promotions or discount codes in the same way a private business might. However, its pricing structure and the extensive range of amenities within the larger park can be considered a significant value proposition for local Virginia residents.

The "special offers" of Lake Fairfax Park Campground largely revolve around its accessible pricing for a campground within such close proximity to a major metropolitan area, coupled with the vast array of recreational opportunities available within Lake Fairfax Park itself.

  • Tiered Pricing for Affordability: The campground offers various site types with different pricing tiers (e.g., non-electric, 20/30 amp, 20/30/50 amp, group sites). This allows campers to choose an option that best fits their budget and needs, providing flexibility. Current rates (subject to change) are competitive for the Northern Virginia area.
  • Seasonal Access to Water Mine: While the Water Mine Family Swimmin' Hole has an additional fee, its presence within the park offers a significant recreational "add-on" during the summer months, providing a resort-like amenity for a campground stay.
  • Bundle of Activities: The camping fee grants you access to the extensive trail system, the lake for fishing (with a Virginia State fishing license), and proximity to the skate park and pump track. This comprehensive access to diverse activities within one park adds considerable value to your stay.
  • Convenient Location for DC Exploration: For those visiting from further afield in Virginia or outside the state, the campground's strategic location near Metro access effectively acts as an "offer" by simplifying trips into Washington D.C. for sightseeing, potentially saving on city accommodation costs.
  • Pet-Friendly Policy: For pet owners, the policy allowing leashed pets in the campground without an additional nightly fee (unlike some cabin rentals) is a valuable "offer," encouraging more families to bring their furry companions along.

While you won't find a "buy one night, get one free" deal, the ongoing availability of a well-maintained, amenity-rich campground at competitive rates, surrounded by a host of recreational opportunities, serves as its continuous promotion for the Virginia community. Checking the Fairfax County Park Authority website directly for Lake Fairfax Park Campground is always recommended for the most current pricing and any specific seasonal programs or events that might enhance your visit.

👍They had the basics- electricity, fire pit , and pretty clean campsite. We liked the family restroom with clean showers . There were Not many bugs in April.. check in was smooth and friendly experience. Nice trail around for cyclists and walk. Nice nature around. 🫳Downside- if u have pollen allergies this might not be for you in allergy season. Some tent sites and Electric sites have slope. Maybe there are snakes as there was caution board. 🤟Overall - great camping experience and well maintained facilities. Would definitely return.

Our experience was unpleasant at lake Gairfax Campground. The staff is useless, the campground is overrun by people sleeping in their cars or panel vans . Tent sites are mixed with the RV sites and all of them have cars everywhere You would not let your kids out Some nights people would just show up and have evening parties! Super sketchy

If you talk to a woman with a new England accent on the phone, just hang up. Very rude, abrasive, uninformative, and unhelpful. When we finally do get to make our trip we will not stay here.

We stayed here for one night at the end of August on a road trip. The sites offered little to no privacy and very little shade which was unfortunate since it was a heat wave. Some of the tent sites had nice flat pads but ours was on a slight slope. Where this campground gains points was the bathrooms, which were spacious, private and clean. Would be fine for a short stay but maybe not in the hottest parts of summer.
