Nice, clean and organized campground. Clean restrooms and showers. Organized and clean pathways. Surprisingly we didn't see any racoons during our three nights stay. There were a lot of flying bugs around so prepare to take measures. We saw turtles, armadillos and deer. A lot of birds like cardinals, hawks, owls, eagles and vultures.
May 28, 2025 · Vass G.Not the place to go if you want peace and quiet camping. The drone of air boats and motor boats was pretty constant thru out the day and first thing in the morning. Rented one of the glamping tents and sadly was next to a frat house all weekend. Guys partied all day/night and nothing was done. The tent was nice, clean and had great amenities. The bathrooms were also clean and nice. But just too many loud annoying people.
Dec 15, 2024 · Jennifer FreemanI found this park to be an amazing tent camping experience. Most of the campsites are very spacious, with plenty of shade, and the park is full of wildlife, we were visited by deers, armadillos and woodpeckers. If you bring mountain bikes, avoid trail #4 “Gobbler Ridge” as it’s full of sugar sand. We enjoyed trail #1 “Kristin Jacobs” quite a lot and you don’t have to do the full loop, as it crosses the main road several times, you can return back to camp at any crossing. Campgrounds restrooms, were extremely well kept and regularly cleaned.
