The stunning views, exceptional cleanliness, and fantastic amenities more than compensate for the slightly longer route. We believe that an authentic outdoor experience shouldn't mean sacrificing comfort, and Lakeview Campground and RV Park is built on that principle. Whether you’re planning a weekend fishing trip, a family getaway to enjoy the playground, or a leisurely stroll around the lake, you’ll find that our campground provides the perfect backdrop for making lasting memories right here in Lawson.
Lakeview Campground and RV Park is nestled at 19799 Raum Rd, Lawson, MO 64062, USA, offering a tranquil setting just north of the charming town of Lawson, Missouri. This location provides a serene escape overlooking the beautiful Lawson City Lake, making it an ideal spot for those seeking lakeside relaxation and recreation.
For our local Missouri visitors, especially those in the Kansas City metropolitan area and surrounding communities, accessing Lakeview Campground requires a specific route due to a current local bridge closure. It's important to note the caveat mentioned by previous guests: the bridge from town is out, necessitating a detour. To ensure a smooth arrival, please plan to make a larger loop and approach from the back way. The recommended directions are to take Highway D to Highway KK, then go north to W 208th Street. This road will transition into Raum Road, and you should stay on it until you see the campground on your left. While it's a slight adjustment to your route, as one satisfied customer enthusiastically put it, "it’s worth it!!"
Despite the temporary route adjustment, the campground's overall accessibility remains strong for Missouri residents. It’s located close enough to Lawson to provide convenient access to any necessary supplies, but far enough removed to offer a genuine sense of peace and quiet. The clear directions provided by previous visitors, combined with well-marked roads once you’re on the correct approach, help ensure a smooth journey to your lakeside retreat. This blend of remote tranquility and manageable access makes Lakeview Campground and RV Park a highly suitable destination for your next Missouri outdoor adventure.

Customer Reviews
Beautiful campground; clean showers, helpful camp hosts, nice playground plus a group campfire area. Everything is kept up spotless. Great price!! Highly recommend. *** the only caveat is the bridge is out from town and you have to make a big loop to go in from the back way. (Take Hwy D to hwy KK. Go north to W 208th St. It will turn into Raum Rd. Stay on that and it’ll be on the left) But I’ll say, it’s worth it!!
I would have given a 10, but our site #1 was awful steep. I am not sure it should even be a site, unless they build it up to a more level place. Our rv stroked out in the front, and it was still not level. Other than that, it is a very nice, clean campground w'a nice playground and a lake nearby that have a paved/gravel path all the way around. There is a frisbee gold course that is well maintained. Our crew caught quite a few bass in the lake.
The city and the camp hosts take great care of this RV park. The bathrooms are always clean and stocked, the firewood is always available, the grounds are always clean, they make sure the campers aren't problem campers, the playground is great for my boys, and the hosts are helpful with everything! Loved having a washer and dryer while we were here and hot showers during the winter! We're going back every winter!
The location was a bit hard to see in the dark via Google maps BUT the camp host came out and got us back on track and helped us get backed in to our spot. The bath house was very clean and well stocked. The sites were all graveled with good fire pits and picnic tables. They even had a decent play space for younger campers. Will use them again when we’re in the area again.
Once the bridge is updated the noise won't be too bad. The train passes 6 to 8 times every 24 hours and can be pretty intense. Sites could be a bit more level as well. Park is full grass and looks like tent camping is coming soon to the rear of the park. The walking trail around the lake is nice. Covered picnic tables and nice little playground for kids. 1 washer 1 dryer. Hot showers. The camp host was very nice. Firewood sold on site. Take the long way around that is paved. The map is on the website we're you can also make your reservations. Stay in the lower number site away from the tracks and bridge.
