Lavey Lane Mobile Home & RV Park, located in Baker, offers such a solution in East Baton Rouge Parish. Mobile home parks play a vital role in providing accessible housing, often presenting a more affordable alternative to traditional homeownership. They typically offer a unique community setting where residents can enjoy a more independent living style with their own dedicated space.
This park caters to both mobile home residents and RV enthusiasts seeking long-term accommodation, reflecting a common need in our state for flexible housing solutions. When considering a community like Lavey Lane Mobile Home & RV Park, it's essential for prospective residents to look at various aspects, including location, available services, and, importantly, the experiences of current or past residents. While we strive to provide factual information, it's worth noting that public feedback, as provided, can vary significantly. This article aims to offer a balanced overview to help Louisiana locals make informed decisions about their potential new home.
Lavey Lane Mobile Home & RV Park is conveniently located at 5510 Lavey Ln, Baker, LA 70714, USA. Baker is a city in East Baton Rouge Parish, situated just north of Baton Rouge itself. For residents of Louisiana, Baker offers a more suburban or semi-rural feel compared to the immediate bustling areas of Baton Rouge, while still providing relatively easy access to the capital city's amenities.
The park's location on Lavey Lane suggests it's nestled within a more residential or local area of Baker, potentially offering a quieter environment away from major commercial arteries. This can be a significant draw for those seeking a peaceful living space. Residents of Lavey Lane Mobile Home & RV Park benefit from being part of the Baker community, which has its own local businesses, schools (part of the East Baton Rouge Parish Public School System), and community services. Proximity to major roads like Louisiana Highway 19, which runs through Baker, and easy access to Interstate 110 or Interstate 12, means that commuting to Baton Rouge for work, shopping, or entertainment is manageable. This blend of local community charm and regional accessibility makes Baker, and by extension Lavey Lane Mobile Home & RV Park, a practical choice for many Louisiana residents looking for a place to call home.
Lavey Lane Mobile Home & RV Park, as a combined community, would generally provide a range of services aimed at supporting both its manufactured home residents and long-term RV guests. Common offerings at such parks typically include:
- Mobile Home Lot Rentals: Dedicated spaces are available for manufactured homes, providing a foundational long-term residency option.
- RV Lot Rentals: Sites equipped for recreational vehicles, catering to extended stays for travelers or temporary residents.
- Utility Hookups: Essential connections for electricity, water, and sewer are typically provided at each mobile home and RV lot. Specific arrangements regarding utility billing (included in rent or separate) would need to be confirmed directly with management.
- Waste Management: Residents can generally expect a system for trash collection within the park.
- Road Maintenance: The park management is usually responsible for maintaining the internal roads and access ways within the community.
- On-Site Management/Maintenance: The presence of a phone number and mention of management and maintenance in reviews suggest that there is a team responsible for park operations and resident support. However, the quality of this service is a point of varying feedback.
Given the conflicting reviews regarding upkeep and responsiveness, prospective residents should proactively inquire about the current state of these services and any policies related to repairs and maintenance during their direct communication with the park.
Lavey Lane Mobile Home & RV Park possesses inherent features that attract residents looking for specific living arrangements in Louisiana. These typically include:

- Affordable Housing Segment: Mobile home parks often serve as a more budget-friendly housing option compared to traditional site-built homes in the area.
- Direct Contact Information: The provided phone numbers offer clear avenues for potential residents to reach out for inquiries and information.
However, it is crucial to address the significant disparity in customer reviews, which present a stark contrast in perceived highlights:
- Positive Feedback Highlights: One review praises "very nice owners & manager," a "very friendly & is there to fix any problems" maintenance team, and describes it as a "nice & safe place to live" and a "well kept location." This suggests potential for a supportive and well-maintained community.
- Negative Feedback Highlights: Conversely, another review describes the park as "very trashy and nasty," accuses owners and landlords of being "cons," claims deposits are not returned, and indicates that residents "practically get the third degree if there are any repairs that needs to be done as if it’s your responsibility not there’s."
This divergence in experience makes it imperative for any interested individual to conduct thorough due diligence, including a personal visit and direct conversations with park management, to form their own assessment of the current conditions and management practices.

Customer Reviews
Only click one star to give a brief review but one star is way too much! It’s very trashy and nasty. The owners and landlords are cons. If you move here you will not get your deposit back so write it off as a lost. And you practically get the third degree if there are any repairs that needs to be done as if it’s your responsibility not there’s.
Well kept location . As well as very nice owners & manger ! Also the maintenance team is very friendly & is there to fix any problems! Big or small :) would recommend if your trying to find a nice & safe place to live!
Great place to live, I work in plants and I got an rv lot for my camper. Couldn't ask for a better place to go. The staff makes you feel at home. Never could ask for a better place to stay.
We stayed here at the beginning of this year and got scammed out of out $150 deposit. She told us that our lot had to stay clean and garbage had to go in the garbage and we would get it back (not hard to do). We did that! When we went in to pay for our last few days here my boyfriend told her that we would be leaving in 4 days and that we would need our despoit back she told us "I don't have the cash right now I'll have to mail it to you" (we thought that was weird cause we had just given her $80 (cash) for our rent for the next few days. So anyway we gave her our address and waited for our deposit return and after a month I called and asked about it and she said we didn't give her a 30 day notice before we left (WE WEREN'T EVEN THERE FOR 30 DAYS) so long story short, it has been 4 months and NO DEPOSIT RETURN. We've called and talked to the woman and she tells us we need to talk to the guy, and we talk to him and he tells us either to talk to the woman or that he will "get it sent out" BLAH BLAH BLAH. Plus this place is just trashy anyway. DON'T STAY HERE.
Awesome place to live. Great deal for what you pay. The homes are beautiful. It is a great place to raise a family and a place that you would want to spend the rest of your place there.
