The park is noted for its meticulous landscaping, which includes vibrant flowers and clean, level sites, creating a picturesque setting that feels more like a private garden than a typical campground. It is a perfect spot for local residents looking for a comfortable basecamp to explore Central Vermont's numerous attractions, from the state capital in Montpelier to the vast granite quarries of Barre and the renowned Millstone Trails.

My family and I checked in late 8pm the owner was aware of the 2 small dogs and 3 children, he immediately starting getting controlling by saying we could only park 1 car at site other in guest service. He even followed me to the site to make sure he approved the way I backed my camper in. The following day we where asked to leave after the children asked to go swimming in the pool that is on-site for swimming, the owner said no not for 2hrs for.chemical reasons, he never even added chemicals to the pool, we again asked 3 hrs later that is when he voiced an issue, they don't want children or dogs there or woman prefer just say men said we couldn't have a small fire in fire pit, and he would feel better if we just left. I was in shock, the dogs and children were quiet we were not disturbing others but regardless we packed up and left only to find an amazing and better campground.
Aug 13, 2025 · eva lafondVery nice, quiet campground (my preference). Mostly seasonal sites, but some for short term. Owner/Mgr very helpful with short notice arrival. Restrooms average, showers were warm, coin operated, but mats could use a cleaning.
Sep 14, 2025 · Darlene JohnsonSomeone i know stayed here and all the owner cared about was money. As soon as someone came in he instantly wanted money for visitors. Nothing for kids to do. Had a pool there but couldnt get the chemicals right to be able use it.
Jul 14, 2025 · Jennifer ClarkFirst of all campground is nice clean quiet, but the owner is a little persnickety about his pool that he said we had to ask permission to use and he would unlock it other than that just not friendly at all
