Beautiful and well kept place. Pretty pond and awesome new and huge pool. I deducted two stars for the horrible road and train noise. Pull through sites are next to a busy road with noisy trucks barreling down the road at all hours. With train whistles we didn’t sleep a wink. Seriously they need a sound absorbing wall similar to what is used on interstates. The awesome pool kind of made up for the lack of sleep.
Aug 27, 2025 · Bev PThe sites are nestled around trees and spacious enough. Our site, #6, was about 100feet from a busy road so we easily heard the traffic, including loud semi trucks all morning and throughout the day. The pool was nice and had a cute kiddie section. Office staff were friendly and helpful and the Store nicely stocked. Bathrooms were clean with good water pressure for the showers. The lake is more of a pond. Great for fishing, not paddle boarding. Camping: early September, 16’ camper, 2 adults, no pets
Sep 03, 2025 · Wanda AlderferDisappointed and Unwelcome Experience My family and I were looking forward to a relaxing weekend, but our experience at this campground was incredibly disappointing due to the behavior of the owner. While we were enjoying the pool, the owner approached my 16-year-old son — without any greeting or introduction — and rudely told him, "you don't think much," simply because he was drinking a can of carbonated water. He then gave him the choice to either throw it away or leave the pool area entirely. This kind of unprovoked and disrespectful comment toward a teenager is completely unacceptable. The owner then went on to scold the kids for playing with the fountains in the pool — which begs the question, what are the fountains for if not for enjoyment? To top it off, he cleared the entire pool area by 1 PM on a hot Saturday, which just added to the unwelcoming and unfriendly atmosphere. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome during what was supposed to be a fun family getaway. We will absolutely not be returning, and we don’t recommend this campground to anyone looking for a warm, family-friendly environment. Update: After leaving a respectful but honest review, the owner came to our site and kicked us out. We were quiet, respectful guests. This kind of retaliatory behavior speaks volumes about how guests are treated here. Avoid this place if you value a safe, welcoming environment.
Jul 26, 2025 · Candice CarrollThis family run campground is the perfect weekend getaway for families and children. They have a variety of amenities open for enjoyment and weekly games/gatherings depending on time of year. There is a new pool with shallow and deeper areas and beautiful fountains. There are rules clearly displayed outside and inside the pool regarding food and drink that are simple and respectable as to keep the pool area cleanly. There is a beautiful pavilion beyond the pool to sit and eat lunch and watch your children in the pool or on the playground from. The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming. Beautiful views, close to numerous hiking trails and a quaint small town with a grocery store, ice cream, and small shops/pizzerias! The prices are very affordable and reasonable. Loved our stay and we WILL DEFINITELY be coming back!!
Jul 28, 2025 · Christina PerryJust stayed for a weekend in pull through site #21. This campground is nestled in the woods in close proximity to various areas attractions. Sites are a nice size & you are not right on top of each other. Lots of mature trees and foliage between the sites. They do have a few sites that are mostly clear if you like that also. Pool is brand new, zero entry with a water fall feature. It is heated which is a +. Camp Store has a nice section of essentials. There wood bundles are above average in size. Propane refill is available & they have an RV Repair shop on the premises. Bathrooms & Showers were clean & stocked. This campground also has a fishing pond, playground for the littles, activities room, laundry room on site. Area attractions include: White Water Rafting. White Haven is 5 minutes, Hickory Run State Park is 15 minutes, Jack Frost Ski Resort & Split Rock lodge is 10 minutes, Mt. Pocono and Kalahari Water Park are 35 minutes.
